I hope when this game is fully devloped that u can as a player custimate ur own gear and what u want to take with u into combat.
Vikings had swords and shields and not just axes as well as bows. Same goes for Knights who had pikemen, crossbow men and ect. same with Samurai. Would be fun to see if we could have our pick of the armory.

There are two more classes for each faction to come.

You will get a sword and shield (Warlord) and a spear and shield (Valkyrie) for the Vikings.

As for pikes, crossbows, etc - they are minion weapons. A Knight would not use them, but a war hammer (Lawbringer) and what seems to be a broadsword (Peacekeeper)are on the way.

The Samurai have the Katana and Nodachi in Alpha and will have a Naginata (Nobushi) and Nihonzashi (Shugoki).

Don't stab me if this questimate will be wrong, but i'm pretty certain the peacekeeper is a dual-wieder.. take a close look at the left hands position

That estimate is right, the peacekeeper will have a dagger and shorts word, both dual wielded. She is the assassin class of the Knights, like the Orochi is to the samurai or the Berseker is to the Vikings.
