    Some feedback

In multiplayer there is a NAT type and mine is "strict". This is an issue I have come across on console and have found workarounds, however I have never had this issue on PC before. For Honor is the first game I've played on PC that decides to use NAT types like console does. I don't have any issue finding matches/playing with friends etc in any other game I play. I am not questioning the decision to do multiplayer this way on PC, but I am making note that this takes away from gameplay experience as I was unable to find a match after 20-30 minutes of searching in the 'high activity' game modes. Based on the difficulty to play games online/interact with friends due to NAT type I find it hard to recommend to people I know who also have NAT type issues.

Another issue I ran into...the quit to desktop option wouldn't work. I'd click it (or hit space) and a confirm screen would pop up saying progress would be lost if I was currently in a match. I hit space again (or click on it) and that pop up goes away but I'm still in the menu and it doesn't close. I ended up having to open up task manager to close it.

Other than that the game ran fine. Defaulted to High settings and got a solid 60fps at 1920x1080 Full Windowed. I thought the controls for mouse & keyboard were fine, though it did feel odd having to hold ctrl for most combat - don't have a suggestion of something better though.

Your nat type is based on your current router/modem settings you have to open up some ports for it i don't remember which ones they are but you should check the ubisoft support page for which ports to open.

You mentioned you didn't like having to hold down the control key all game, either did I but you don't have to hold it down, just click on it once. However what I did was just remapped the key to something more convenient, for me I used my mouse's thumb buttons for the ctrl & alt keys. Just go to your settings & remap whatever keys you wish.

As far as your strict NAT fix,

the ports they recommended last month were:

    TCP 80, 443, 13000, 13005,132000, 14000, 14001, 14008, 14020-14024
    UDP 3075

I fixed the strict NAT problem without having to forward any ports (besides already having fowarded 9000 UDP for Uplay which I had done long ago) at all & by simply setting my PC as the DMZ Host.
So try that first before anything else.

I also experienced that unable to quit issue you had after entering the play menu but not in the initial practice sessions.
