    Not fun

This game looks graphically amazing, I logged out after ten minutes because it's just too clunky with the blocking mechanics, was expected something a little more like Chivalry.

This game looks just seems like a console game to me.

If the blocking mechanics are changed to make the game a bit smoother this could have a lot of potential.

Not to presume, but almost everybody I've come across that says this is actually just bad at the game...

It's not that the game's bad, they're just bad at the game.
Give it time, you'll improve and it'll become second nature.

    Game is good, git good.

I am also having some problems adjusting to everything, but that is normal.
I still remember my first Dark Souls playthrough, and I know how I felt just a bit after... like a God!

    Give yourself some time.

I honestly love the game. The blocking makes fighting a lot more difficult especially when playing against other players because then you actually have to think! Unlike most other multiplayer games. You have to try and predict your opponents move and I absolutely love that.

By console game do you mean more natural feel with a controller as opposed to KBM(keyboard-mouse)? If so I do agree with you as having to shift the mouse up, left and right makes it feel as if you're going to miss the block and in some cases you do. If I had a controller it may feel better and I'd be more reactive to the blocking and the general combat due to it feeling more natural. *Instead of having one blocking response for every attack like in Chivalry, I feel like having a blocking system with 3 possible vectors allows for more focus on the combat between players more than the environment around them. It makes me lose myself in that moment of combat between me and the enemy and not pay attention to what's around me which is how sword warfare is portrayed in movie battles between the protagonist and antagonist. It has that cool effect

Bottom line it's irrelevant whether the game is good or bad when it's just not much fun to get into it.
The combat is very complex and the combination of a large interface, tons of visual effects and a way too narrow field of view makes it incredibly ovewhelming for a new player.

The visual effects didn't have any impact on the learning curve for me. I mean, I'm still in the learning curve, but it's not bothering or distracting me. Field of view needs to be changeable, without question. Thirdperson or not, it's still necessary. Not sure if the option is already in the game, I only had a little time this morning.

I can definitely see why some people are saying the combat feels clunky. It's not clunky, it's incredibly responsive and does what you tell it to, but there's so many things you can do at any given time that it ends up feeling "clunky" because your hands get all tongue-tied and you press the wrong things or don't know what to do, or aren't fast enough. So yeah, people need to spend more than five hours at least until they talk about clunkiness, because I think it's just being confused for being behind the learning curve.

    Block mechanism SUCKS A**.

The blocking mechanism SUCKS A**. It is way too slow and virtually non-responsive. It reminds me of Active Protection in Battlefield 4. If you don't activate it before the strike is initiated, your screwed. Allegedly the red directional indicator should point in the direction for the needed block. However, moving that way results in a failed block. Further, I find that even blocking in the direction of the white indicator and then receiving an attack from the same direction is worthless most of the time, especially against Vikings.

I also don't like that the rushing move by the Viking cannot be countered with a slash of the Samurai's blade. I have tried it several times and nothing happens.

I also find the camera view to be too erratic when not in blocking mode.

I do not understand people complaining about the block mechanics I picked this up and in just a couple matches had the hang of it and was able to parry and counter with ease.....If an Orochi is spamming you learn to parry ..... you have to learn how to do that to stop their momentum. That or start playing Conqueror because whatever he blocks it stops the chain immediately..... for the record though I do think the Conqueror's side dashes need to be slowed down a bit.
