Solved black screen hang issue by moving game to C: drive as some earlier posters have mentioned.
Some details for the devs:
Issue:
Freeze on start displaying only a windowed black screen
Specs:
Windows 10 non-anniversary.
i5 3570k
Nvidia 660 on 372.70
Original install drive was on F: which is a 1.35TB software RAID made within Windows 10
C: is a standard GPT NTFS windows partition on a single disc.
Did not work. Im on win 10 w/ anniversary update. disabled firewall, launched uplay in admin mode, unpluged all controllers, tried safe mode, tried running game .exe as admin tried launching game .exe normal. When we try to launch the game isnt even a running process in task manger. Only uplay is running. Its not launching game exe at all . Re downloading game to attempt again. Amd 9590 nvidia gpu 990fx mobo 16 gb of ram @ stock and 2133 game is on 2 sshd's in raid 0 let me know what other info you need or if you guys wanna set up a session and remote in to my pc. 14 HR day today and this was gonna be the highlight to my day. I have about 30 people in my gaming community waiting on me to give them my personal thoughts on the game so they can pre order lol and so far not looking good haha
**Update** Reinstalled. still will not launch Just gonna pass on this game all together. I alpha test at leat 10 titles a year and this is the most failed alpha test launch i think ive ever played. Good luck to you and your future devs, but i can tell you now this is going to be a failing title on pc
Thank you, that worked for me as well (after I added the app to the firewall and the antivirus)Originally Posted by R4ve1986 Go to original post
Windows 10 x64. Game would crash after a few seconds and I tried everything I could. 1st I added all the exe mentioned above to windows firewall, 2nd nVidia control panel, go to Manage 3D settings> Program settings> Add "forhonor.exe" from game folder and put High-performance NVIDIA processor. I had a dedicated video card. Hope this will help you too, have fun, brave warriors and fight with HONOR!
Hi guys,
If the issues persist for you we've set up a sticky thread here to pool workarounds!: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...2%80%99t-start

Hi I have now tried again me different things, unfortunately without success.
The last thing I still came in useful was a conflict with the video card may.
I once the Intel HD Graphics 530 and the Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M,
have then in the Nvidia Control Panel >> Manage 3D Settings under 3D setting,
the Preferred graphics processor selected the drop down menu with Nvidia high-performance processor.
In Specify 3D Settings >> PhysX configuration, select a PhysX processor: click the GeForce GTX 960M selected and transferred.
The game started again and it ran without any problems, the tutorial I can play without affecting greater occurrence of the crash.
I hope I can help with the little explaining possible problems with other users.
