All to often I buy a clothing item or weapon skin I think I want only to discover it clashes with my tweed. How about a sample square visible to the purchaser before completing the sale? Style is everything at level 30 255 gear score. Would it be impossible to see how my weapon or jacket will look in the daylight so I can avoid the awkwardness of being ugly?

I agree100%. There needs to be a preview of the item at both the vendor and in the appeal section.

I think this is a great idea.

I've lost count of the numbers of weapons skins I've bought & then thrown away because I don't like them.
