That wasn't even a jab. They're not going to criticize a company that gives them their paycheck. It's the game industry: Honesty is frowned upon, and cracked smiles and shallow, positive words are what's expected.

First off, I would like to apologize for the miscommunication.

What SkyBear and myself were attempting to communicate was both a confirmation that there are tracks made by community members that can be better than what might ship with the game, and also offering insight as to why; design requirements, feature changes, etc, during the development process. Building a track as an individual, with unlimited time and full creative control is different than building one as part of a game's development team, though neither should be viewed as inferior. They are just different.

Skybear has pointed out that RedLynx acknowledges that there are amazingly talented track designers in the community, an acknowledgement that I believe is visible in the many, many community level designers who have been, or are currently, employed by RedLynx. The Trials community track creators are definitely important to RedLynx, and there is a tremendous level of both respect and awe from everyone at RedLynx and Ubisoft for what this community produces. There are many highly talented individuals, and teams, that have created content for Trials games since the release of Trials HD. RedLynx is always on the look out for talented and passionate individuals to join their team. If you know of a person who creates consistently high-quality content, by all means urge them to consider sending in an open resume and cover letter at Redlynx.com/Careers

Trials wouldn't be what it is without the amazing Trials community.

Both SkyBear and myself assure you that RedLynx has heard your feedback on all of the above mentioned items.

@Xzamples - I thought that you were dismissing SkyBear's information based on her Trials play-time, which has no bearing on the information; that level design as a developer is different than level design as a community member. That was my mistake and I apologize for my assumption.

Usually like to stay neural on these things, but, saying that the single player tracks all suck, 2 years down the line, is very childish.

Its your opinion, sure, but opinions change, years down the line, and we expect greater things. You are literally judging tracks that were released on the release date. And to be fair, many of the worse tracks probably had less work put into them, because they didn't have the 3d models at that time they were working on it.

Finally, the community had 2 whole years at creating trials tracks from a fully finished list of 3dmodels to put in their tracks. The dev's probably were working with half of the amount of objects we have for a while. This is just speculation obviously, but makes sense from a dev standpoint. They also have a time limit governed by their employer, you, a trails creator has as long as you want to finish the track of your dreams.

For icing on this topic, one of the major points of trials, in my opinion, and I think many others, is for the creators to keep making tracks for the community. Look, I understand you speed runners want better tracks to speedrun in singleplayer, but you have 1000's of awsome tracks and more in the track central section of trials. Yes, its true that it won't add to your singleplayer leader board but Geez, play some custom tracks once and a while.

@Shifty: I understand that the process of creation is different. But, that's not an acceptable excuse as to why tracks are riddled with tire glitches. No matter what the process is, testing is a major part in track creation, and Redlynx seems to be skipping that part. Some of the tracks simply shouldn't have been accepted in their current state.

@Slim: I don't see how it's childish, or why the time frame matters. The forums are here for people to express themselves, and that's what he's doing.

These opinions haven't changed at all. The tire glitches were there from the moment they were released.

You seem to be under the impression this is about deco. It's not. The early tracks are no more tire glitchy than most of the DLCs.

Stride and I both play custom tracks all the time. We still want tracks that aren't glitchy when we go for runs on single player.

I'm completely fine with the look of all the tracks and objects used within the whole game. When I have to ride on track driving lines that are glitchy and have poor object placement it can be very very annoying.

Honestly I am not sure how you guys sat in your office and said to yourselves megalopolis is ready for release? That entire DLC tells me 2 things 1. You either do not care about the quality of your content you guys release or 2. You do not care about your players. Both of which are disgusting.

It's clear to me that this means a lot to you (especially the tire-glitches) and I understand the frustration behind it, I sincerely do. I'd be happy to discuss it further with you both through PM, if you so choose.

As mentioned previously, we really appreciate the feedback given here. Anyone is free to PM me if you feel that your feedback is being unheard or if you still have questions about anything at all. I’m always happy to help or listen.

A simple good question to ask is: Have or will tire glitches be fixed in the coding for the next Trials release?
A yes or no will end the conversation. They will or won't...or we're working on it, but it's not a big priority in the development of the next game.

We should have more things to say about that soon hopefully.
