I agree with Killa going from hard to challenge in the underground is what is killing most players. The gap is to hard for them and it's turning them off to itThe shot Gunners at the start are as powerful as challenging mode so they just give up and just run hard with all the directives on.

TBH shotgunners aren't really the issue (as with any of the NPCs in UG i have ever run across. What the problem with the UG is the terrible cover options or non-existent cover that should be actually be cover, the multitudes of broken cover options, getting stuck on just about any bottle/bump on the ground, the windows that are one way (can shoot from one side but not the other), the invisible walls and sides of the modular zone edges just glitching over themselves to where content appears and disappears and can get in yoru way, the shooting through doors the NPC can do while you have to stand there in the open while you pull a lever, and then of course the AI getting stuck and not properly advancing, down to the escalators you end up 2 feet inside of that you can event see over the edges of them or get stuck in them/fall through the world. There are too many broken things in the UG that make it repetitive to the extreme and then add some of the death traps mobs can get you in because of the above...that frustrates me more and turns me off faster then just an OP shotgunner kill for the UG. UG is just really really broken.

Nothing NERF. We all love when one phase UG he shoots more than a thousand rounds of ammunition. Nothing beats an authentic experience with children's gun.

Here's a question, and it's probably going to sound like I'm being facetious but I'm honestly interested.

If your enjoyment in game revolves around an intense challenge, why gear up and then only play the hardest levels in game? Can't you get the same thrill playing in blue or purple gear at a lower difficulty? And vice versa, for those who want to play more easy challenges, can't you just run normal or hard modes?

My gear is not very good (3 sets with 2pc bonus) but it's right in a sweet spot where if I just want to relax I can easily clear the hard mode dailies solo, or if I want a challenge I can find a group to do hard or challenge UG.

If you have the absolute best gear that makes heroics less of a challenge, doesn't that defeat the purpose?

Do something like run 88k firearms 170k toughness and 24k skill power and see how far you can get on heroic mode under ground 35s or go after the cleaners up in DZ05-06....I am sure they would be glad to challenge you with that gear... and nothing but pistols...do it for the challenge!

Based off what they have said already, I believe everything is going to be nerfed. I believe weapons are going to be scaled back, I believe gear sets are going to be nerfed (the ones that deal damage), I believe skills will be nerfed, and I believe enemies will be nerfed.

I believe the actual meta of the game will change significantly. The meta being, raw DPS conquers all.

Maybe "nerf" isn't the right word. Scaled down? Dialed back?

Well.....if they don't nerf the m870 then nothing else really matters in my opinion.

I hope they nerf EVERYTHING. Let's make it the worst update in history. Give the players what they expect.

Some of the problem is balancing for people who play in regular teams, and then there are people who play with regular teams on PC with a mouse.
What I do know is we should be strong at max gear.
That has to be a headline.
Of course we can have harder levels but not for more rewards or xp,only as a completion between teams, say leaderboard or ladders.
I think about destiny, the entire campaign was a walk in the park,we had to pick hard just to make it fun.also I can one shot 50% of the enemies, yet at the same time it can also be tough as boots.
all I know is the time to kill has to be reduced, yet we cant go full commando.
I think it has already been said,we have to fire within our range and from cover otherwise we die badly, and get left dead until the room is clear.
But npc's have to fire within range also.
