I had 3 showdowns started in the morning.
The showdowns ran for 3,5 hors without my ride.
I joined in when about 1,5 hours left.
I won cca 440 chips in the showdown where I won all the tracks.
I won cca 300 chips in the showdown where I won 2 tracks.
BUT!
When I win al the tracks in a showdown from the start, why do I win only 550-600 chips?
1,5 hours = 400 chips.
5 hours = 600 chips? Where is the logic?
After winning a track, the rate at which chips are accumulated starts off fast and progressively slows down as the showdown timer counts down, so perhaps something to do with that?
Search the forums for "ping pong". You can make the most chips when track ownership changes a lot because chip rate "resets" when a track is taken. The hardest thing is to get an opponent who understands that.
Yeah, I know ping-ponging.
I just talk about the weird rate between time and chips counting.
But that "weird rate", the fact that time/chip ratio is not linear but a curve, is what makes ping pong so effective in the first place.Originally Posted by HU_HeroZero Go to original post
