During yesterday’s PlayStation Meeting, it’s been confirmed that two Ubisoft soon to be released titles, Watch Dogs 2 and For Honor, will be enhanced for the PlayStation 4 Pro console. Today, the European publisher confirmed two more titles that will be enhanced for the new Sony console.
Speaking to VideoGamer, Ubisoft has confirmed that Ghost Recon Wildlands and Steep will both be enhanced for the PlayStation 4 Pro. No specific has been released, but it won’t take too long to learn more about the matter, considering Steep launches in a few months on PC and consoles.
Ghost Recon Wildlands certainly looks impressive, even without any PlayStation 4 Pro enhancement, as seen in the E3 2016 trailer released a few months back. The game promises to be the largest Ubisoft action adventure game ever, with players having the ability to enjoy the game solo or with three other players, with a huge degree of freedom which should make things quite interesting.

Since the PS4 Pro can handle better visuals, I expect the same visuals as the PS4 Pro console to be on PC and why? Because PS4 Pro can make it look more beautiful. But don't expect them to go beyond PS4 Pro visuals on PC just so they don't alienate the Console fan base.
PS4 Pro= Same graphics as PC version so they don't offend their console fan base.
I have said this before, Ubisoft's PC games will never look more visually impressive than consoles until consoles have the technology to have the same visuals as PC.
I have a better idea Ubisoft. Make the PC version with better visuals then the PS4 Pro console! Prove to us you are listening to the PC community and make an eye popping game for the PC!
I know you won't though because well, you are Ubisoft and I know all your marketing antics and tricks and the ugly truth about you!
PC= Same visuals as PS4 Pro until a console can handle the same visuals as a PC. So once again the consoles hold us back!
Ubisoft games on PC already look better than on consoles though... The option to run at higher resolutions and with a plethora of different anti-aliasing methods, amongst other GPU boosting features can't be overlooked.
Lots of Ubisoft titles also utilize things like Nvidia GameWorks to add things you wouldn't be able to have on consoles...
I'm not a PC gamer, so tell me, what is the Ultra HD Texture pack that is available for those playing Rainbow 6 on PC. I know it's 20Gb and has a 9/10 rating on Steam, but why are PC players bothering if Ubisoft's games "will never look more visually impressive than consoles"?Originally Posted by GhostLeader- Go to original post
I repeat it I'm mainly a PC player but ... I discussed with a dev at the Paris Games Week a year ago (he was'nt from Ubisoft) and he told me that: low specs PCs hold us back more than consoles in some situations when we have to optimize the game.Originally Posted by GhostLeader- Go to original post
The traditional PC players conspiration about consoles is not true.
Exactly what I think.Originally Posted by SuperBiscotCOT Go to original post
So what you are saying is that because someone with a 200 bucks office PC can't play the game, I can't either with a 1K PC and the guy who spent 3K or even more is also kicked in the nuts?Originally Posted by SuperBiscotCOT Go to original post
That has to be explained a little better or that dev was smoking some good ganja.
I understand that if I buy a 4K TV and watch SD movies I am not expecting to have a great time with the movie but if I buy a 4K movie I should not have to suffer with low quality video either because someone with a projector TV may want to buy the same 4K movie I do.

Consoles have all the same standard but you have to optimize the game for a low spec PC to a 4K PC so that everyone can play, but you can't just reduce some options like that. Some features are linked to each others.
If in settings menu in PC games we have so much options it's because they optimized so that all standards of PCs can access the game. And it's why on console you don't have graphics setting choice selection.
