verify your game files yet ?

    sounds like a corrupt install
    \
To verify your files if you bought the game thru Steam ..\EXIT Steam ..right click your steam icon ..select run as Administrator

    to launch Steam

then go to your Steam games library

right clik on far cry 4

    select properties

    select local files

select verify Integrity of game cache

it takes a few min to do but its faster the redownloading your entire game , if its only a few files that were corrupt or installed incorrectly .... this in many cases will fix your problems

If you have the U play only Version of the game you can also verify your game files with U play

if you have the game via u play only here are instructions how to verify your game files thru their client
Again its probably best to make sure you launch Uplay as RUN as Administrator when you do a file verify

see the bottom of the page

also make sure your video drivers are up to date and try lowering your settings . your vid card may be experiencing a TDR

    see https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/lib...(v=vs.85).aspx

if you do not know what a TDR is

after you see the yeti you should wake up @ your family home

never had the game crash on me there ... and have played thru it more then a dozen times

hopefully its just a bad install and verifying your game files may indeed fix it

if its TDR problems .. they are hard to diagnose and fix .. some users found underclocking the vid card helps

for others updating your system bios may help

The Yeti is Sabal coming to pick you up!

Concerning your problem switch momentarily to DX9 (game options) and see if that helps you - some people had success doing that.

there is no DX 9 option in the game or DX 10

minimum supported GPU's are all DX 11 cards

There is UseD3D11="0" which basically is the same.

Requiring a DX11 card does not mean the card/game can't run in older modes

and please show me a DX 10 VID CARD THAT OUTPERFORMS A gtx 460 WITH PIXEL SHADIER 5.0 SUPPORT = DX 11

even a GTX 295 only supports pixel and vertex shader model 4.0

    google it

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce_200_series

same with the earlier AMD chipsets
    \
    see http://pclinks.xtreemhost.com/video_g.htm

    direct X 11 = pixel and vertex shader model 5.0 ..not 4.0 or 4.1

there is no in game setting to allow DX 9 or 10 support

if you hack your gamerprofile .xml file =thats not an in game setting ....nor will it work if you have a card that does not at least support pixel and vertex shader model 5.0 = DX 11 \\

so once again Butcher bird your full of Sh**

meet the Far Cry 4 minimum system requirements and you wont have an issue ..an really a PS4 as well as an X box one both have a DX 11 GPU

    look it up

DX 10 cards are not supported .. contact Ubi support if you do not believe me

they were supported in far cry 3 .. but that game shipped years before far cry 4 and used a different version of the dunia 2 engine
