I understand that the skill obtained of being a Ninja is a lot to do with experience using your control pad for a long time. Such as trottle control. So if you cannot really give tips because it would be too hard to explain. As it comes naturally to you when playing. Can you give us newbies any inspirational advice. (My question is genuine). I time out so much. Or just use up all of my 500 faults far too many times. So it leads me to believe not anyone can just be a Ninja. I`m not new to trials. I`ve being playing it with a few years now. But really have only gotten into it seriously the last 2 years. I can pass hard extreme tracks. But when it come to any Ninja track I don`t have a chance. Does CP stand for Checkpoint? I don`t think I`ve ever passed one of those`s either. I watches a lot of ninja runs. And I realize that they`re many skills involved in a ninja track to complete it. But for one example is the jump from one obstacle to another. I went as fast as I could, bunny hopped as far as I could. And I still came quite short of the following obstacle. One more thing I would love to know is. Generally, how long does it take you to get that perfect run. (Please consider when you first started completing ninja track too) The ones that would put you high on the leader boards. Or the one that you like enough to put on your YouTube channel?
Thanks so much for your time. And apologies for it being so long.
Hey GrahamHorgan! So much of Trials comes down to repetition and practice. Continuing to attempt things at the limits of your skill level WILL help you improve over time. I'm not much of a ninja myself, more of a speed runner, but I think I can help with some tips.
- Start with the in-game extremes. Work towards the lowest faults you can manage. Evaluate the techniques you are using, and try and perfect them for further use in other extreme tracks. Examples would be back tire bounces, hill transitions, fapping, and bunny hops.
- If you want to be a ninja, find some Ninja 1's to work on. Try ones that use the techniques you know from extremes, and work on passing them. Don't just pass it once! Give it at least one more go to try and get the fault count down. You will be amazed how some familiarity with the track improves your performance.
- Expanding your skill cap is a slow process. Don't go mashing your face against level 3's when 2's are still a massive challenge. Start small, and build.
- Consistency is key. Taking big breaks from Trials tends to limit my capabilities as a ninja far more than as a speed runner. If you can, find the time to pass a ninja a day.
- If you find a spot in a track that you don't know what to do with, or just can't pass, find a replay. Watching the rank 1 replay may be helpful, or it may not. Finding someone closer to your skill level pass the obstacle will give you a better indication of a good way to beat it. Perhaps the best replays to choose would be slowish low fault runs - the rider likely will have set up at each obstacle to hit it properly rather than blasting through.
- Find your areas of weakness, and work on them.
Lastly, CP does stand for checkpoint! As far as how many tries it takes to get the run you want, it depends on what the run you want is. I usually don't put more than 5 attempts into ninjas, but I can throw dozens into speed running, even a hundred or so to hit things just right. Trials is definitely a game of patience. Good luck out there!
Hi Ch4er0n.
Thank you very much for your detailed reply. You have giving me lots to think about and not to get frustrated so fast. Going back on the in game Extremes is a great idea. I have not 0 faulted everyone of them. But if I did, that would definitely raise my confidence. And like you said, will improve my skill. I really value your advice. I`ll be checking back here often for words of encouragement. It`s very surprising how hard it is to get advice on this subject. I`ve being trying for quite a wile. So once again thank you. Take care and have a great day.
Completing either Meteorain or Way of the Machine in under 10 faults is already a good stepping stone to the ninja tracks.
If you want good starter level 1's, check these out :

Also, if you are interested, I made a series of tutorials about ninja techniques (And I'm in the process of making more). You can find it here :

I'm 32 years old and I just recently started passing ninja level 4 tracks. So believe me when i say that unless you have some crippling disability, you can learn the ways of the ninja
Watch replays, YT vids, Twitch streams and pay careful attention to how the bike moves, how people land, how they set things up. Just get a sense of what is possible and what techniques are used depending on the obstacles.
Some things you won't be able to do right away, or even for months/years. There's an incredible amount of finesse and precise control involved that will take a lot of time to develop proper muscle memory for. But if you know what the movement is supposed to look like, you can at least try to recreate it and go from there (for more basic techniques).
Riding ninja tracks is a game of patience and endurance. There are tracks I've timed out on 8-10 times before passing. Don't expect immediate progress and don't get discouraged when you struggle. My focus is on doing one thing each day that i couldn't/didn't do the day before. Look for the little improvements like getting one CP further, shaving off a few faults, beating a new track, doing a technique more smoothly.
Maybe it's a good idea for you to play some harder extreme tracks that are borderline ninja, before you jump in with both feet. ConfusedMuscles and illobear both made a ton of them. I can list some for you later on.
Play tracks that push you to your limits (but not beyond them) and you will emerge a better rider each time you finish.
That is a good advice, i will check out these tutorials, I am trying to get back into learning the ways of a ninjaOriginally Posted by StormPsykoz Go to original post![]()

That`s great advice. Thank you. 10 faults or under will give me the direction and motivation I need. I will definitely check out them tracks. And i`ve your tutorials already saved. I really appreciate you taking your time to make them. And hey! Hopefully you`ll see me on the leaderboarders someday.

I find watching the Ninjas so fascinating. It`s gone to the point where I`ll choose watching them over movies and tv shows lol. And a big congrats on passing levels 4`s. Damn! It must be a badass feeling. Sorry for getting a head of myself. But what ninja level does the skill come into play by using only your back wheel or front wheel? Timing out 8-10 times. Wow!! Well I need to calm myself then. That`s patience. You`ve got a great point of creating the muscle memory. And that only comes with time. I`ll definitely watch out more for the tracks I ride. It`s being counter productive if i`m trying ones beyond my skill. That`s great advice. And I would always love some good tracks to help me. Thanks so much Jtrunn for your reply.
Search for them without the dot; also to find more tracks you can go to http://ninja-central.com/index.php (i just added all the tracks listed above), so you will 100% be able to find them thereOriginally Posted by GrahamHorgan Go to original post![]()
If you still struggle finding them on tc, try searching for the creator if you are on the same platform that it got released on![]()
