During the live stream on Twitch a lot of us on Discord were irritated at the lack of skill demonstrated by the players. This is a rather large issue because when you have low skill players showing off your game, the viewers are going to see the struggles they have as features to the game. Nobody could handle 1vMore, so viewers will assume 1vMore is impossible to win. Nobody showcased the Kensei's true potential, so viewers are going to assume the Kensei is crap and not fun.
The next gameplay video needs to feature high skill players. The devs should take the best players from the next Alpha and record a match or several that really showcases the adrenaline pumping tension of a real duel between elite warriors.
I agree, no offense to any of those players. They never parry or feint. The battles sort of just centered around ganging up and throwing random hits and hope it deals enough damage. Or just tossing enemies off platforms. There was a lot of people watching, though, so I understand if they were too nervous and decided to play it safe like that.
I do kinda agree.
While I love watching competitive play. It was very disappointing to see the game being played in such a poor manner. Although to be fair not everyone has managed to get the same amount of time in that we have so it is fully expected to not see every single mechanic in the game utilized to the fullest.
That being said I did enjoy watching it although that commentator was really killing me.
Uhum.. Uhum... Hall of Heroes VS Devs... Uhum... Anyone?Ring of Death with 1v1 duels in the middle? ANYONE!?
While at the same time it would look very cool if the players were skilled, the game might actually be a bit more... Hard to follow. However, way, way and WAY more badass.
Even though it was highly entertaining to watch, somewhat painful in a way. But it would be too easy just to look at it from the perspective of someone who has played 50 hours plus and not the other way around.
I agree as well.
I encountered players who were much better in the alpha, who I'm sure would be better suited to show the real intricacies of the combat system.
It would be interesting if before showing a game played live, if they had a mini tournament or something at whatever venue, take the best eight players present, and have them fight each other.
I would agree with this as well, but I imagine that would be rather expensive to fly people to a place specifically for a 40-min showcase.Originally Posted by PowerSenpai Go to original post

Yup. It would be one thing if they actually showed one of the Heroes that haven't been seen much yet. The hype would overcome the gameplay for me. But if we are going to keep seeing the same three Heroes I'd like to see what gameplay looks like between two new players, a new and veteran player, and two veteran players.
If I'm not mistaken, they had originally wanted some of the Star Players from For Honor to help out but we all flew out too late for the stream event. I agree though, and I expressed that to Emile that it's important to show both the new player aspect and the experienced player aspect. Hopefully, they let us do streams and recordings in the Alpha/BETA to help showcase a wide variety of skills!
If they wanted to do that they wouldn't even need skilled fans. They just need four people with little-to-no experience and four of their devs present, put two of each on each team, and let them play.Originally Posted by David_Frosty Go to original post
