So........ Whats up with the vehicles?

I'm just curious on just how much variety we can look forward too when it comes to the vehicles? Is it going to be a large selection of military vehicles or mostly civilian transports with a few specialized/ military vehicles here and there.

I don't know if anyone here remember the game Mercenaries: Playground of destruction, but they played more to the military vehicles then the civilian and they hit all the marks. mobile and stationary anti-air, tanks, apc's, rocket and traditional artillery, attack, transport, and scout helo's ETC, and they did it better then even Battlefield did (even though itsa single player only game). While i don't think GRWL is going for that scale, seeing something like that would be impressive to say the least. Especially If it's integrated into multiplayer.

Or maybe a Vehicle-smith (just throwing it out there don't bite my head off lol ), for example swapping out the M134 minigun on a buggy for a Browning 50 or a MK19. or swapping tires for tracks, or rocket pods on a scout chopper for laser or wire guided missile launchers. obviously there are some vehicles that would benifit more then others from this but i think it would be cool to RTB, refit and redeploy a vehicle based on need.

I think a big part are gonna be civilian, then you have the cartels one, unidad one, buggy, moto and militaries.

I want to know more about vehicles as well. I plan on using them extensively and I'm excited to see how some combined arms tactics pay off. I remember seeing a variety of ground vehicles when I played the E3 demo - civilian trucks, civilian cars, dirt bikes, the odd looking militarized buggy from the reveal trailer, and this game's approximation of a HMMWV. As for air vehicles we used the Blackhawk and shot down a cartel helicopter that from my memory had a very civilian looking appearance. We do know also from the trailers that there will be APCs, scout helicopters, boats, and a few others.

Now, I definitely want to see how these vehicles can be modified or outfitted for different jobs if that's even possible. I'm especially interested in the different ways we can outfit vehicles like scout helicopters - I want to see how CAS can work with mini-guns, rockets, or whatever else. The idea of inserting a team with a scout helicopter and then providing CAS for the team sounds like a lot of fun in my head.

Sounds like a great next article that the dev team could post on the website

I think the possibilities will be almost infinite with all these vehicles. And it will be a key element knowing that the map is big.
