OR..... they could support modders! How 'bout that

    Yeah that was implied
But sadly it's still not in the "Ubi strategy"

I still fail to understand the fascination of different skins, less so if they are not detrimental to the gameplay but purely for eye candy... to each his own though.

It's about giving another aspect to your character or weapon that you'd like better.

I"ve been modding for Half-Life, COD, Dead Space, Tomb Raider and Mass Effect, it was fun.

I am not saying I am against it, and I would use it, more so if I have no choice to play in FPV but, only if it will really help me blend in with the environment. If only for eye candy and it does not matter if I am wearing a red shirt in the snow or naked on a crowded town because the enemy will not see me then... meh!

These days I believe all the skins have to be vetted in competitive games. I remember back in the day in CS when there were lots of skins that helped you to see enemies easier.
Shouldn't affect to singleplayer though but unfortunately most of the time balance on pvp craps to singleplayer side too.

Well some could use that to get a better view on ennemies and for the extreme, the cheat with full blue/red skins.

For us modders it was only to give a better skins to the characters, as i'm Belgian I loved change the camo for the Belgian one.

Ulukai I hope that when you say you modded few games It's not just to apply a Belgian cammo to all of them

Skins are just purely cosmetic but if you want to play serious ... you can by using realistic cammos. Then it would be nice (if you don't want to see flashy/purple/pink/... cammos of other players ) you could activate an option to see other players' guns in vanilla cammos. That said I don't know if it's technically possible.

How can you trust the devs with the economy if they've added in micro transactions? You never know what gain/loss values they altered to lure you into buying their goodies.
