I mean, the medal times are known for each track, they are the same on all bike modes (regular, donkey, crazy), right?

Wrong. They are not the same for all bike modes - they should be, but they aren't.

After you get a new fastest time with a donkey/crazy bike, two things happen that should be related, but they actually are not. First, a medal is displayed corresponding to the 'real' medal you should get. Second, a 'Night Life' medal, along with the LB points for said medal are recorded in the LB database. This is the crucial difference: what gets displayed to us is completely different than what gets recorded.

RL can approach this 3 ways:
1. Ignore the problem completely (we've seen them do this time and time again).
2. Create a patch that displays the correct Medals, but ignores the LB problem. An easy, quick fix, but if people start trying to calculate their actual LB score off the number of Plat, Gold, Silver and bronze medals they have, their calculations will be way off.
3. Fix the LB, and fix the medals. Although this would solve all the above problems, it would shake up the LB ranks a bunch, which could cause people to complain if they suddenly became ranked much lower than before. I like this option the most, but I doubt it will ever happen.

I wonder, why devs noticed that only now?
Exact information and even a root cause was given to them months ago.
What about testers? Can't imagine how it's possible to miss - having platinum see bronze and vice versa

I would post about this problem and I found this Thread. I read all but no solution from UBI. I can't ignore this problem because I lost a lot of time open every track to see the real medal for donkey/crazy bike. I am from Brazil and the conection here is a mess and I lost a lot of time to connect to UBI server and see the real time for each track.

So UBI please correct that!

I am glad to hear they fixed the problem! I wonder if they chose to address how Donkey/Crazy Bikes LB scoring works, or if they simply patched the Medal Toggling problem. Even if they just did the former, I'll look forward to the update.
