Do you mean like, once you've defeated a boss in the single player you unlock their armor or pieces of their gear for the multiplayer? That would be neat, seriously. Although from what I get you get your gear post-match.
Reminds me of how you would get armors in Halo 3 for completing the campagin in certain difficulties. Since about half of the players paying multiplayer never touched the campaign, it made the legendary difficulty reward quite special.
Well ideally there would be trophies for the campaign & multiplayer. Perhaps a trophey for killing X number of opposing heroes(kill streak) or if you kill someone who is highly experienced or statistically the strongest opposing player. Maybe if you have a rival that you fight, sort of like a "friend" but someone you fight or try to outscore and you get a trophy for killing em more times than they kill you/outscore them if they're on your side. (Think hybrid between bounty system & friends list) Obviously you'd get a trophy of some sort depending on if you beat them once, multiple times, etc.
