Suggestions for new game modes for 4v4!

The creators of the game showed us only one mode for 4v4, so we don’t know yet if they are more than this in the current stage, so I will suggest some new game modes.

One of the game modes that I want to say, is the game mode called Death Match. This mode is based pretty much on points, and you get them by killing players or killing troops. The first team who will get 1000 points will win the game. Also, you may get extra points by killing them different, like drop them down from a bridge. Also when someone is doing a 1v2/3/4 and he get all of them, then he will get more points, depends of how many enemies he killed solo.

Second game mode, will be called Attack/Defense (if you have a better one, let me know down in the comments). So there are 3 stages, the first 2 stages have big gates, and the 3rd one is the end of the line. The attackers have to take down the 2 first gates by pushing the battering ram, so you can break the first 2 gates and move to the 3rd one and final stage. Your ally troops are pushing the battering ram, but because you are stronger from them, if one or more from your teammates (including you of curse) is pushing the battering ram, the move speed of your battering ram will be increased immediately, but don’t forget that you have enemies too, so that won’t be possible if you don’t take them down first. The defenders have to defend those gates, so the enemy will be slowed down. How you can win: there is a time set on this game so something will happen after the time will end, and the attackers will lose (that’s why it’s very important to slow down the enemy), and the attackers will win if they push in and finally get to the final stage before the time ends so the game will be a victory for them (for the attackers). I can’t figure out what will be the final stage yet, and also what will happen after the time will end, let me know down in the comments.

Skirmish is Team Deathmatch... unless you mean a free-for-all. Skirmish already is going to hypothetically be chaos (and not the good kind). An every-warrior-for-themselves would crank that chaos to 11 and break the knob off.

This has been suggested quite a few times by quite a few people (myself included). The game seems tailor made for this sort of mode, so I question why they would leave it out. Personally, I like the sound of Siege mode.

I think a theoretical "Siege Mode" would be a worthy addition for them to pursue as one of the game's first major updates.

And as Willow said, they announced what the available game modes will be on release and Team Deathmatch was one of them. Here is a full list of the game modes copied directly from the For Honor website:

Dominion is a 4v4 objective-based mode in which two teams of four players fight for control of the battlefield. It’s a mode that relies upon skill, communication and teamwork.
Brawl 2v2: Each team of two players need to kill the two enemy Heroes to win a round. Skill, awareness, cooperation and the capacity to use the environment to the player’s advantage are key components.
Duel 1v1 puts two Heroes face-to-face in a fight to the death. Skill is fundamental in Duel of course, but as in Brawl, players have the possibility to use the environment to their advantage.
Skirmish is a 4v4 Team Death Match like mode. Combat skills are key in this mode as players score points for their team by killing enemy Heroes.
Elimination In this 4v4 mode, the last surviving player on the battlefield wins the round for their team.

I am wondering if they will give you the ability to vote on a different game type when voting for the next map. So for example, if you finish a game of 4v4 Dominion and are given a choice to vote on the next map, you would have something like this:

    Dominion on X map
    Dominion on Y map
    Skirmish on Z map

I am not sure if others would like that, but I think it would be nice to have as an option. So if people are getting a bit tired of the same game type they can switch it up rather than having to leave the game and enter a different queue altogether.

Anyway, I am derailing the thread now so I will stop, heh. But yeah, I like your guys' idea of a Siege type mode.

That would be nice. Honestly, given the modes, I'd probably just stick to Dominion if I could, so I might end up hating it, but that way of offering variety would probably help stave off monotony, if nothing else.

Yeah, I am kind of in the same boat. I would probably stick with Dominion, but occasionally having it voted into one of the other game modes could keep things a little fresh, even if it's against my will, lol. Now if they add some cool game types like "Siege" then it could be even better.

    +1 for a siege mode.

I'd also like to suggest a faction v faction mode. If possibe, it'd be epic to have a 3 way faction fight like in the trailer. Maybe a 4v4v4 kind of thing.

Well I don't think a 4v4v4 mode will be a good idea, it will mess up the whole gameplay, because 2 teams can team up to take out one team, people will get mad and they will stop playing this mode, or something like that, thats what i believe, but a 4v4 faction mode is a very good idea, many people want this mode so its possible.

But how would 2 teams be able to gang up? If they can't communicate they couldn't rely on teaming up with an enemy team. It could easily leave you vulnerable to attack if you tried to team up from the team you want to team up with. They'd have to know each other outside of that match & be communicating. The effort required makes me think it unlikely

At the least a faction versus faction 4v4 is needed..

Lets say, 2 teams are going to attack one team, and then they will attack that team again and again, because why not, or simply because people sometimes are like "oh, this team is getting low, i can have free points from this". So yeah if you understand what i am saying, it wont be fair. And i really hate it, because if 2 teams attacked me again and again, i would be really mad.
