If the best of the best form a group what's to stop them from turning rogue?Originally Posted by Robert-of-Hague Go to original post
The Equalizers would only be able to kill npc's and rogues, or be killed by npc's or rogues.
There's a running theme through a lot of these posts. You see it regularly in other MMOs, but not in TD. Zone Guards that are friendlies. If to emulate other MMOs, the JTF are one faction, and the LMB are another faction of Zone Guards. Rioters, Cleaners, and Rikers are the other roaming factions. It makes sense.
Or a rogue killer gear set. Let us sacrifice pve for major bonuses against rogues.Originally Posted by MysticIXINinja Go to original post
lol exactly. They will ******** one or two players at the checkpoint and talk crap like their badasses but if it's a 4v4 they will cut and run.Originally Posted by csmpapaweeks Go to original post
They will cut, and run, but The Equalizers will hunt them down.Originally Posted by X3holy3 Go to original post
I propose a buff for The Equalizers...
Rogue Tracking
When a player, or team of players goes Rogue their icons only disappear from The Equalizer's map when their Rogue status has lifted.
They should be called ROGUEULATORS.
They will be dressed in Solid gold and be 7 feet tall.
They will help compensate for the lack of interest in the dark zone right now.
They will have the famous weapon called the griefinator 46. Or maybe the ganknor 2000.
You'll get special badging that's only special to you and whoever else this seems like a good idea.
How about they just fix the dark zone first.
You know any idea that messes with advantages to rogues isn't gonna go over well, so many players who are 3, 4 or 5 months into the game with nothing to do, they have all best loot, they have nothing but hunting down lower gear players left. Would be cool if a group of top gear players on their own decided to spend their time hunting down rogues only, but as the numbers dwindle so will those top gear rogues.
I know this idea is controversial, especially when people that rogue it up on easy street have no real challenge, but what matters is making this game better.Originally Posted by Div_GreenDevil Go to original post
This wouldn't fix the dz by itself, but it would help, and would be a thing the rogues would come to love as well.
How many rogues out there are tired of the same ol' thing? How many rogues would appreciate a new dynamic to mix it it up, and add some variety?
Just posted this as its own thread, but then thoughts of yours and thought it fitted in quite well.Originally Posted by MysticIXINinja Go to original post
I've mentioned a PvP ranking system in other threads but it got me thinking and I was hoping to get some ideas on it from the community.
The original idea was:-
Perhaps an alternative way of separating players is with a PvP ranking system. PvP kills (rogue or otherwise) raise your PvP rank.
Those that PvP regularly, are skilled and/or better equipped for it will quickly rise through the ranks.
Those that won't/don't PvP, are poorly skilled/poorly equipped will remain at lower levels.
This wouldn't replace GS brackets, but run alongside and could be applied to all of a players toons.
Eventually, those that regularly PvP, including the gank squads, would find themselves pitted only against similarly skilled opponents. For those that want a good PvP fight I'd imagine this would be very welcome.
Those that have no interest and don't engage in PvP would find themselves in much lower PvP brackets, would be less likely to find themselves in PvP based encounters and would be able to MM with people who are most likely of similar mind.
However, I was thinking that this could be slightly amended.
Two PvP ranks.
Rogue and Rogue Hunter.
Kills as a Rogue PERMENANTLY raise your PvP rank. Your PvP rank will always be Rogue, whether you kill rogues or not.
But Rogue kills give you Rogue Hunter flexible rank.
By this I mean that a player gets the required number of rogue kills to unlock PvP rank 2. They can then play at rank 2 or rank 1, but can only unlock rank 3 with rank 2 kills.
I would add on to this that the moment you go rogue and get a certain number of kills as a rogue you are restricted to whatever level you obtained as a Rogue hunter and your PvP rank is marked as Rogue.
I'd also suggest that if a player had a high Rogue PvP rank with one toon, this wouldn't activate on a subsequent toon until they went Rogue. (So players could play the Rogue or the Rogue Hunter, just not with the same character).
