1.4 not until October?
Survival not until an even later date?
I know bugs need fixing and all but that's way way way too far out. It's not the players fault you can't fix bugs in a timely fashion and let them pile up
The dark zones 01-06 are stale. I endured them believing there'd be an update/dlc coming soon but knowing it will be months is just too long
Underground is done for me
Missions albeit fun to run can't hold players over for months
Having defended the game for this long I think it's safe to say I can't do it any longer. If I can't do it any longer I can't see too many others doing either. The population will truly be decimated by then. Even the most casual players will run out of content
I think this just put the nail in the coffin
Super disappointed in massive and Ubisoft right now.
The nails have been in the coffin for some time... We just don't know if they hammer them home or pull them out with 1.4 but I would rather they fix the game than just go through the motions and just release content that no one is going to be around to enjoy.Originally Posted by UNSCxSniper Go to original post
If they fix the game... They've gotten a much better chance of people being around and playing it. Also, I'm not sure I understand your need to play the game right now if you find it stale... Boot something else up. I've only played 20 hours over the last two weeks of the Division while mostly playing other things... Do the same.
I have stopped playing this game because of the mess this game is in bug wise, content wise and progression possibilities for the solo player. If they continue with this trend, I will not come back. If the existing game is behind door #1 and fixed, the existing content improved (scaling for group size inc the solo player, NPC's fixed RNG rethought, etc) in October, or another update on of the existing bugs and another DLC the level of U/G earlier behind door #2, I'll take door #1.
While I do not agree it has killed the game, I do concede that October is just too long without a perverbial bone for the playerbase. To be clear, I'm all taking the necessary time to correct the game, but hopefully there will be some foresight as to what the player will do until then.
I guess my point is, we have acknowledged that almost every game mode is stale, therefore there must be something done in the meantime to hold the community over.
-Could be more frequent supply drops in both zones.
-HVTs dropping 268 gear exclusively,
- weapon vendors offering every single weapon in the game at appropriate level,
- flood the LZ with epic battles allowing a 10 man LZ server to tackle this as they see fit (alone or in fire teams). If you die, you can just run back to the battle. (I'm talking helicopters, AVTs, all the enemies that currently exist in game Already.
This could help hold over the player base until things get resolved.
Just throwing it out there, I like to put my own twist on the game when my friends aren't on. I'd be happy to have another agent join the fun, if it meant helping you enjoy your time. I'm on Ps4.
1.1 killed the game. 1.2 killed the game. 1.3 killed the game.... blah blah blah blah blah.
Same thing everytime an announcment is made - the game is dead, the game is dead.
And yet here you all are, still playing, still trolling.
The worst thing about this game - these threads. If the game is dead, leave, go play something else. Its not a perfect game, it has issue, but plenty of people are still enjoying it. Then they come here thinking maybe i'll share something positive, and wham, they are confronted with a wall of. I'm leaving, devs suck, the game is dead, wheres the waaaaaambulance? tyoe posts.
Give it a ****ing rest.
It's way too far out? Ok. You, clearly being a man of technical know-how...what do you deem an appropriate timeframe in which to have everything fixed that needs fixed in this game? What is a "timely" fashion. You seem to have a good pulse on what a reasonable turn around time is for matters of this complexity. 5 minutes ago? Tomorrow? A 40-hour week? List all the things wrong with the game, and the amount of time you think it should take to fix them. The game has a ton of bugs...and they take a lot of time to fix. That's why they pile up. The developers are under contractual obligation to release updates to the game within specific time frames, from what I understand. It's tough to push out new context within the constraints of a schedule, while continuing to fix things. Definitely not our fault, but unless you can make days longer, there just isn't enough time in a day to address everything int he warp speed manner everyone suggests should occur..Originally Posted by UNSCxSniper Go to original post
Many people play games like CoD for an entire year between releases. Some play them much longer than that. This game isn't an annual release like CoD. It's got a long time left to go. However, if you can't wait the lifetime you make 6 months out to be, there's the door. Seriously. What are you still doing here? You're declaring the game dead to you, like so many others, but simultaneously cannot....will not let the discussion of it go. lol
I'm copying and pasting all posts like this into a big Word document. I have several pages already with all of the "sky is falling," "**** Massive," "This game is dead" posts I've come across. ALready it's amazing how many people have used the term "this game is dead to me," and have dozens of posts after that comment. I imagine going forward this theme will be repeated...and that many will be saying it for moths to come. It's positively fascinating stuff what "I'm done" means to some people. lol Posturing? Desperation? I don't know. I think most do it as a quasi threat. "Look! Over here! Massive, you lookin'? I hate your face and I'm leaving your game. Just not your forum." It's as if people post that they're leaving hoping that saying they hate the game and won't be playing any longer is going to cause this knee jerk, instantaneous transformation of the game.
I agree with this. I've never seen so many people devote so much time to hating a game, without leaving it. lolOriginally Posted by TG24915193 Go to original post
This is pretty much every thread on this board. People hate the game, but refuse to leave/move on. I think they're masochists and addicted to misery.
I think delaying was just the right move. If they'd released more content now, it would just have had all the issues the game currently suffers.
Then the forums would be full of comments complaining how they should have fixed the game before releasing new content.
This is the way I look at it. I've had fun playing. The game still has masses of potential, so I'll just ease back on my time playing and exercise a little patience whilst the issues are addressed.
I'll keep checking in on the forums to see how things are going and I'll keep posting the odd suggestion.
I don't think there are any nails or even a coffin yet.
The game's sick but treatment is on the way.
