    Quick question, for clarity's sake.

Are the labels for what is there or what you wish were there---more specifically, is the NOT THIS pic what you want to be there and isn't or what you think people are imagining when hearing your suggestion but is not actually what you want in the game?

If the former---the NOT THIS pic is what you want and the BUT THIS pic is what is present---then I really fundamentally disagree on the basis that I don't think it adds much of anything to the experience to be drenched in blood (either your enemies' or your own) except the M-rated shock factor mentality of being bloody and gory.

If the latter---the NOT THIS pic is what you are not asking for and the BUT THIS pic is what you want---then I disagree with your suggestion that that level of blood is not already present. I would argue there is more blood than that present. The longer you stay alive, the more your character becomes wounded, the redder your model becomes. On the Knights it might not be as obvious because of all the armour (same with the Samurai), but the damage models affect more than the head---they're actually somewhat dynamic---and are very evident on the Raider.

Here is a Raider who's been slashed almost vertically across the back.

Here is a separate Raider who's been slashed more horizontally.

If you want to make an argument the would should trickle a little, then I'd say maybe, it would depend on how much, but what I don't want players who are very good at the game to spend half a match looking like they stepped off the set of Carrie. I think it would veer into comical exaggeration territory, when they seem to be going for a more 'not historical, but realistic' feel.

EDIT: gifs came out a little grainy. They were taken from this video at 22:40 (the first is shortly followed by the second)

EDIT 2: Found a Knight. Same video, at 45:55

I don't sure i understand you, but i'm sure you don't understand me. Skip the demagogy, warriors in the game should have realistic blood spots after their victories and that's my opinion in easiest form. Your opinion has been heard.

A game about hacking & bashing each other to death not having the option at least to have a spray of blood or otherwise realistically represent melee combat is missing an immersive elemant. Gears of War & other games give players the option to turn gore on or off, it'd be a good addition here.
