simple ideas to make this game better

I love this game, played it since release but it's fair to say it's getting to the end of it's shelf life. Here's a couple of simple ideas to help improve the 2 biggest issues for me.

    1) Loot

We play this game to make our characters more powerful. Give us a system that allows us to do this in a fun way. I don't want to spend hours on end hoping the right piece of gear will drop with the right stats. I want to play the game, be challenged by the game and be rewarded with an item i can use.

Possible solution 1: Drop gear that isn't pre-defined to it's gear set. When it drops allow us to choose to convert it to sentry, lone star etc. Keep the rest of the stats RNG. You can only convert an item once then it's permanently that set.

Possible solution 2: If we deconstruct a gear item, this gives us materials to improve stats on other gear items. A kind of upgrade system for your existing gear. The more times you upgrade a stat, the more costly it becomes. Lose gear mods, they become gear upgrade modules for specific things.

    2) NPC health / damage. How to make the game challenging.

We know they hit hard and take a lot of damage and hopefully this will be normalised in some way. The game needs to be challenging, alternatives:

Possible solution 1: If the NPCs worked as a team they would be much more effective. Suppress, more aggressive flanking. Shotgunners hide behind the tanky heavies to get close before attacking. Loads of possibilities, just be more imaginative and varied. If we can't predict what they are going to do, they will be more difficult.

Possible solution 2: Use the environment better, more traps (example, ceiling collapses on players if hit too much by enemy fire, bombs hidden in cars). In the underground why can't NPCs come from all directions instead of the linear room clearing mechanic we currently have.

Possible solution 3: More types of NPCs (love the drones, remote control bombs etc). Camouflaged enemies that can't be pulsed. Fast enemies that are hard to hit. I know the enemies are supposed to be realistic (even though they can take 200 rounds) but this adds constraints. Less realism, more imagination. A boss infected and mutated by the virus. Twice the size, 4 arms, super fast, toxic breath. Why not!

I hope the game is fixed soon as i do love it and want to keep playing.

I like suggestion 2 - deconstruct kit identical to something you already have, and get a small improvement to your current kit for an increasing price.

These are some great ideas, but I hope the devs. also realize that although we love the challenges, PLEASE make them worth it! There's nothing worse that busting your buns on a heroic mission only to get something "everyone" agrees is useless.

Another idea that from one of the members of our clan (DUK) last night was a fix for the DZ. We had a poor experience (and seemingly typical) where we got killed by sentry shotgunners a couple of times. They then camped outside the checkpoint waiting to kill us. Pretty **** to be honest, we were just farming trying to get final Measure.

Anyway, he said why not disable all Gear bonuses for PVP. (no sentry bonuses, no strikers bonuses etc). Sounds like a banging idea to me!!
