Creating a moving drive line. ie:The Vestibule

I am looking to create a track where the drive line is on a moving train, like the track The Vestibule from the Fire In The Deep DLC. I can get it to move with an interval trigger, ope, and a curved data source. However, it doesn't seem right as the driving physics while on the moving train are odd, for example, braking on the moving train will cause you to fault. Also I'm not sure whether to use the local or global setting in the ope or how to set that up, or whether to glue or group obstacles and the train. Basically i need le helps. Thanks in advance for any advice on the matter.

As far as i understood, you shouldn't animate the train, but everything else. Because if you animate an Object with OPE it behaves very strange, physics-wise. So basically: Your train is stationary, but you animate the Environemnt with OPE... like this:

I've always wanted to do the same... I just wonder if when I animate everything else if it will start over at a checkpoint say ..halfway through the map... How would I make sure that A) It doesnt keep moving when I crash or B) it starts at the point where you fault or reset at checkpoint.

Why should the train stop when you fail? Under Advanced Physic you can disable that the elements are resetting their position on restart at a checkpoint. I think it is quite a task to do such a track, and I am way to unexperienced to exactly tell how this works.

I built a moving train track and the way I did it is that you start on top of a cliff and then jump off the cliff onto the train. You see the train moving along the track when you approach the cliff edge but as soon as you jump, the train gradually moves to a set position and stops. So while you are in the air the train moves into place. At the same time the background starts moving to keep the illusion going. Then later you jump off of the train and then the opposite happens. When you're in the air the train starts moving again and the background stops moving.
It's definitely not an easy build and I wouldn't recommend trying it unless you have a lot of experience with the editor.
If you're curious the name of the track is [DD] Last Stop

I have seen a couple tracks that had the train moving and they just don't play well at all.
