So I noticed none of my AC games worked. I fought this for a while but then just gave up and uninstalled of all them. I recently installed Black Flag again and boom, it crashed on startup again. After a bit of research I've heard people saying the games won't work if you don't install them to the C: or main drive. Any truth to that?
Hi,
For me this doesn't ring true, I have several Uplay games (non steam as well as ACBF steam edition) installed on a secondary drive which run fine. The standard response would probably be something like verify your game files. Uplay added a feature not so long ago where u could move the game files around and thus create backups by simply copying the main game directory. After you replace your drive, reformat, upgrade or whatever you then point the client (clean) at the game files (locate) from the game tab and the client will discover the files. Of course this is specific to Uplay only games, Steam games have a different backup method (even though Steam can also discover game files in pretty much the same way) and any 3rd party (client) game purchased through Steam will use Steam.
Well I tried it and it works in the C drive. Crazy. I wonder if it's because I have my video game drive set up as a Raid 0 with two 500GB Samsung Evo's.Originally Posted by Nethix Go to original post
