I'm starting to ask myself if Primal is Far Cry's best outing yet, and I suspect it is.
Anyway, not sure what use this thread is any more - surely Ubi are putting everything into 5 right now - but for what it's worth I'll offer my thoughts as way of a couple of minor disappointments *
I would have liked the need to drink. You put food in there (although only as a means of reviving health) but it would have been nice if you could cup a handful of water whenever you happened across a stream or brook, or even fill a water carrier.
No usable boats - noo! I've seen the dugout canoe things at some camps, would have been so good if we could use them.
The ability to sit down (would add to the immersion, especially round campfires).
The ability to make a small campfire in any location.
The ability to fish (from the shore, not like when hunting Bite Fish)
Just a few, I'm sure I'll think of more.
* Oops! Didn't notice the '2' part.
Agreed... would love that stuff to be in Primal. Very immersiveOriginally Posted by OurJud Go to original post

It's the only way I play.
Have only just started playing this game, its so good, your not rushed into fast paced action and such a change from the norm. Brilliant job guy's.
Would of loved to build more on your village and tride but overall great great game so hoping there is a sequel , played 3 of the far cry game this for me is the best by far and ive enjoyed all the ones ive played.
I think that the people in Far Cry Primal feel simple minded or stupid, like many might think people were ages ago. They speak with simple words like "I likes big rock", why wouldn't the speak fluently with nuances just like us now. But I think and there are some serious hypothesis that humans were more resourceful and clever and human are now. They had to be to survive.
I wish the people in Far Cry Primal 2 would not feel stupid cavemen. The cavemen and women weren't like that.
As I see New Dawn coming, I guess Primal was just a same one-time spin-off.
Sadly, with more survival elements it could have been winning a frist place for Ubisoft in the increasingly popular Survival game market.
For example Green Hell is painfully similar to Primal, except for that GH focuses more on survival element, and less on shooting.
If we check the new early access titles of noname studios, like Scum, The Forest, Green Hell, etc, it clearly seems that gamers need such games.
Ubi could have beaten them all with developing Primal 2 to a real survival themed game, raising a new franchise (shouldn't call it Far Cry). Primal was a half-step towards this direction, but the designers didn't see the opportunity. The above meantioned games have more than 100k rewievs on steam, while Primal still have only 9k...
Numbers shows everything.
Gamers need a good survival game, so Ubi, gather yourself, and start to develop a new Primal with hard-core survival elements![]()
