Hi all, maybe this is a known problem: When i play the game, all the events that should be triggered when I complete a mission doesn't get triggered util I press alt+tab and switch to windows. The game goes into windowed mode, then the event is triggered and then I can continue the mission.
I'll made a couple of example to make it clear.
1 - The mission "Reach the Bell Tower": when I reach the bell tower, I can enter into it, and take all the ammo. Normally you should also see the leader of the Golden path and his friends and start a firefight with the enemies. What I see is only the Bell Tower with ammo into there and nothing happen (no conversation with the Golden path leader or firefight with the enemies) until I switch to windows (with alt+tab) and then switch again in the game.
2 - The mission "The wolves den": After I've cleaned out the wolves den shooting the red barrell that's inside, the game should points me to the farm where I will receive a reward. But again nothing happen, the game doesn't points me the farm until i switch to windows (with alt+tab) and the switch again in the game.
Those are only two examples. This behavior is always there, for a lot of the events in the game. Often the firefights doesn't go on, because I need to kill some enemies that don't pops-up until I switch to windows. Also every time I should level up, I'm not levelled up until i switch to windows. Only after I've switched to windows and then back to the game again, the animation of the new achieved level pops-up.
I started the game few weeks ago, but it's almost unplayable if every two seconds I must switch to windows desktop and back to the game.
I hope someone can help me. Thanks!![]()
unplug your X box game pad and use a KB + mouse X box pads can throw off the scripted events on some configurations
also verify your game files
To verify your files if you bought the game thru Steam ..\EXIT Steam ..right click your steam icon ..select run as Administrator
to launch Steam
then go to your Steam games library
right clik on far cry 4
select properties
select local files
select verify Integrity of game cache
it takes a few min to do but its faster the redownloading your entire game , if its only a few files that were corrupt or installed incorrectly .... this in many cases will fix your problems
If you have the U play only Version of the game you can also verify your game files with U play
if you have the game via u play only here are instructions how to verify your game files thru their client
Again its probably best to make sure you launch Uplay as RUN as Administrator when you do a file verify
