$60 Splash screen? Game won't start!

I don't want a bunch of erase this, and that file from your computer, and update your drivers. I have, and they are! I want you to fix your broken *** game. This is the last Ubisoft game I will every play! How is it that your company gets progressively worse at making games? Far Cry 3 played just fine on PC, then Blood Dragon had some glitches, next Far Cry 4 would crash to desktop randomly, and not this game won't even start. Do you want to lose customers? Do you hate your PC consumer base? All my other PC games play just fine. I see this is a huge issue, and I wouldn't have even bothered getting the game had I known about it. You can't claim ignorance when everyone has the same problem. Fix it!

@WID992007You missed my entire point, ****. PC troubleshooting skills? I wouldn't have to bother trouble shooting if they knew how to properly program a game.

    My rig doesn't suck either.
    CPU - Intel i7-3820
    RAM - 16gb
    GPU - MSI GTX 980ti
    2 TB Hybrid Hard Drive
    O.S. Windows 10 64 bit.

Also, if you had bothered to let my comment absorb into your think skull, you'd see that after telling them I don't want to hear a bunch of crap about updating drivers, and such is that I've already done that. My drivers are up to date. My O.S. is up to date, and my BIOS is just fine.

I know some people don't understand, because they have no job, but I work an average of 60 hours per week, so when I want to sit down, and unwind with a game, I don't want to have to go through hours of nonsense in order to do so. ALL my other games work just fine, and so far Far Cry games are the only ones that have given me problems, and they are getting worse with each iteration. This is obviously a problem with others, as I see. They need to just patch the game so this crap doesn't happen.

I will thank you, however for providing a link to their support. It's not like they make it easy to find. When you click Support on the game page within Uplay, this forum is where it sends you for support, thus the reason I left my comment here.

As consumers we pay for a working product, and we should expect one. I don't go to the gas station only to find I've pumped crude oil into my tank, and then to be met with the statement "Oh, you expected a working product? You have to refine that oil to make it into the gas we advertised it as."

your rig has problems is that better ?

the freaking game launches fine even on my oldest system here.................... a DELL dimension E 520 from 2006 for gods sake

    its config
Dell motherboard with an Intel core 2 Quad Q 6600 @ only 2.4 ghz
6 gig of DDR 2 ram
HIS AMD 5770 1 gig vid card
Western digital black editon 500 gig Spinner drive ( X 2)
Onboard sigmatel audio from the Dell motherboard
    Acer 16:10 19 inch screen
    Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit with SP1

    launches fine on my laptop

    Lenovo G505 S
    AMD A -10 5750 CPU
16 gig of DDR 3 ram
    AMD 8650 G graphics
    Samsung EVO 500 gig SSD
    onboard sound sigmatel HD audio
Windows 10 home edition 64 bit

launches fine and runs great on my old junky Desktop too

    ASUS P 5B from 2009
    Intel Core 2 Quad Q 9650 clocked @ 3.6 Ghz
8 gig of DDR 2 ram
    ASUS STRIX GTX 960
2 PNY 256 gig SSD drives + a 500 gig WD black edition Drive
Creative Labs SB live 24 bit soundcard
    Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
    ASUS 24 inch 1080 P screen

so if you have problems its your rig not the game.................. if it runs my old hardware

run DDU and clear out all your old drivers

make sure you only have a single display connected when you first launch the game , yes you can have multiple screens but you have to disconnect all but 1 to launch then reconfigure it for your screens once you are in the game

and use a supported resolution ..you can find a list of supported resolutions for Far Cry Primal here
    http://www.wsgf.org/dr/far-cry-primal/en

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE UP TO DATE VERSION OF UPLAY INSTALLED

you do not need to be online to play .. but you do need to be online to activate the game
    SEE : https://support.ubi.com/en-US/Faqs/D...vo-anti-tamper

IF ITS NOT CONNECTING CHECK YOUR FIREWALL SETTINGS ..YES EVEN MANY CABLE MODEMS DO HAVE AN INTERNAL FIREWALL
AS WELL AS CHECK YOUR WINDOWS FIREWALL SETTINGS AND ANY SOFTWARE OR ANTIVIRUS FIREWALL SETTINGS

also its not hard to find the ubi support site ..try google and type in ubisoft support

also i do not care if your drivers are up to date ..get DDU clear out all drivers and install your drivers CLEAN
only problem i had with the game was on the Dell system only in the snowy parts of the map

contacted AMD .. they said clear out all your old drivers and reinstall them .. boom crashing fixed

had the same on my GTX 960 with Far cry 4 when i used that crap geforce exp software to update my drivers .. ran DDU

installed my drivers clean ..crashing went away ..also found the best drivers are older drivers .. the new Nvidia Win 10 drivers have been unstable since Jan 2016

dont freaking believe me?? .. go look on the Nvidia forums ..you'll see what i mean

    https://forums.geforce.com/default/board/33/

    https://forums.geforce.com/default/t...-in-far-cry-4/

i stayed clear of the newer drivers ever since the bugs i had with 361,75
it was detecting my ASUS Srtix GTX 960 as a removable USB device , and many reported the shadow play bug was causing several games to fail to launch

Nvidia admitted the shadow play bug was a problem in the driver set in both 361,75 as well as 361,91
and said it would not be fixed until the next Major driver branch

see these posts on the Nvidia forums
    https://forums.geforce.com/default/t...99823/#4799823

    https://forums.geforce.com/default/t...15747/#4815747

the 361,75 drivers also and all drivers past that point keep installing Nvidia backend on my windows 10 install even if i choose not to install Gefroce Experience or any other Nvidia software ....plus it installed Nvidia optimus software on my desktop system .. ??

optimus is only used on laptop systems to switch between an onboard intel HD video chip to an Nvidia GPU .. my quad core CPU does not have ANY intel HD vid chip on it ..so that was another bug in that driver set i guess ??

the next driver they released was 362,00 but that even said in the release notes .. there were no fixed issiues in the drivers for Windows 7 , 8 or 10

plus many people have reported alot of problems with the current Nvidia driver version 364.51
    see
    https://forums.geforce.com/default/t...10-16-updated/

and 364.47 was so bad they had to pull the driver set as it was damaging peoples systems

so i'll wait to see what Driver ASUS posts for my card ..right now they only have the 359.06 drivers posted .. and its kinda weird since they waited till febuary 2016 to even post that driver
Nvidia released that driver version in December 2015 .. but the Nvidia driver package is a smaller version then the one on the ASUS website..which is also very odd...

Geforce experience is still a beta program and the few times i tried it ..it did set my games up wrong anyway ..so i never install it ..dunno why they keep pushing that with every driver version ..i always do a custom install and Never install that or any of the Nvidia 3 d vision software

to use the 3d vision you need a supported 3d monitor as well and the Nvidia 3d vision glasses and Kit.
i own none of that ... so i never install it

i choose custom install and only install
the video driver and control panel
HDMI audio - in case i want to watch a movie on my 40 inch HDTV online
    and Nvidia physX
the rest i uncheck .. then choose perform a clean install
and i always use DDU in safe mode to wipe my previous drivers ..before i install or try a new one
