    Ubisoft/Massive, a must read.

Since it's release, I've been a loyal hardcore player. I rarely play DZ, not my thing to gain rewards and lose rank and or if someone decides to be greedy/ have a team of 4 come down and chase me.I help out other players if in need, especially if they're a much lower rank than me. I understand updates, fixes for bugs etc and or to make the player experience that much better, for the player! But my question is, why is it when you say "to make the player experience that much better" it really isn't?! Daily's for example are a waste/choir/drag! I run with or used to run with an AUG, which BTW got severly nerfed and now use a PP-19 which in no way is as powerful as the AUG to play against AI. Almost two clips to take down a sniper!, Thats right, a sniper, while playing challenging. Did these enemies all of a sudden increase their god given armor?! It's extremely frustrating to play what used to be such a great game, run some 30 min or so into challenging and now we can't even pass the first wave and I'm at a level of 222 and above and run 4 separate agents! Why do we have to suffer? It doesn't feel as if the player experience is better TBH. It's like you give us the ability to play as we want, create a build that we fall accustomed to and love and when you see that it's a fav of many u decide to take it away! Is this your way of pushing away your fans who play fair and don't see the need to cheat?! Destiny, did the exact same thing and I haven't touched it since! Take note, the Gjallarhorn used to be the favorite of many, they took it away and now trying to reintroduce to fans as a selling point btw (are u freaking kidding me?!) when it won't be damn near what it used to. I'm only a sucker once! They (BUNGIE) knew what they were doing and so, they lost a lot of people, including me. Is this your goal? I'm asking, I/we need to know? The bottom line, all of us are looking for that special weapon to be god like and if we put hundreds of hours into a game we all love and we're lucky enough to attain it, why take it away or make is useless?! We grind, spend hours customizing, build up our rank & help out each other but when you see us favor a special build, you don't like what you see and decide to strip it away?! What your doing is flat out wrong! It's certainly not the way to go IMO.

Gamers Don't Always Get the Big Picture

I agree that it can be frustrating to play with a build that you fell in love with, spent tons of hours playing that character build and find out down the road the publisher is making some changes to it that will directly impact your game play experience. I see gamers getting upset about this, even leaving a game they once couldn't put down.

The reality is, you are not the priority. Yep, you're loyal, you spent money, you encouraged others to play, but the bottom line is, you are not the priority. And this is not a shot at the publisher. The publisher has to tweak and update unbalanced gameplay to ensure a fair experience for the mainstream gamer. This is not a game they can leave unbalanced, it has multiplayer that would allow some players that spent hundreds and hundreds of hours playing have an unfair advantage. The advantage is not that you played hundreds of hours and the other gamer didn't, the advantage is you have a build that is superior to someone else unfairly. A publisher or developer can't cater to the minority of players that are running with a an advantage over the mainstream gamer, even if those players are among the most loyal of fans.

Why can't they? # 1 reason, Ubisoft is not in the business of making games. Nope, they are not in the business of making video games. They are in the business to make money. Yep, lots of it. They work for the shareholders and Wall Street. Not a bad thing, but that's reality. If a certain percentage of the gamers today said that they aren't buying another game, Ubisoft would go into another business.

Of course they need to have a product that is definitely fun, but balanced where new gamers coming onboard feel empowered, feel like they can play the game at the same level. Loyal and hardcore fans don't always understand this. I get it, too. Why should you balance gameplay with someone that just started the game and you spent 500 hours in it already - you should be more powerful! And you are; by level, by experience in the game, a better understanding on how to improve your character build, etc.

Everyone has a right to complain and voice their opinion. I find it interesting, though, to see the amount of complaining about a nerf of a weapon, or even a buff in some cases. It all comes back to money. They won't, and IMO, shouldn't, cater to the minority of gamers who aren't happy. Ubisoft is not using the forum solely to make gameplay decisions, they use this forum as a 'temperature gauge' to see where gamers are at, what the community is experiencing, is there an overwhelming consider, etc. Like everyone else in any business trying to make a profit, Ubisoft is using real numbers like copies of the game sold over a specific period of time, # of hours logged in the game, # of unique gamers playing every day, # of average hours per gamer, etc. They care about their loyal fans because you pay them money but they won't compromise the integrity of the game for the minority of hardcore fans that are putting in hundreds of hours. I'm sure there's thousands and thousands of players playing hundreds of hours of gameplay but there's always way more casual gamers they have to consider, especially in a multiplayer game like Division.

IMO, complaining about a weapon nerf or something else very insignificant to the big picture of the game is always going to fall on deaf ears. They aren't going to change something back that essentially unbalanced the game. That would cause a new flood of forum posts advising of the unbalanced gameplay and they're back to square one with a different gamer. Game companies can't please everyone, so they need to make it fair and with the complicated and complex games out nowadays, it's virtually impossible to deliver a game like this without having tweaks and changes after the game is in the hands of millions of people. I'm a number, you're a number, it's about making as much money as the market is willing to do.

Lastly, if you think you're any different than a game company or any company in the sense that they are greedy and only want your money, consider this: how many times have you turned down a raise to do the same job you've been doing before? Sure, there's crazy nuts out there that would turn down a raise, but by and large, the majority of people employed would never turn down more money to do the same job. Are you being greedy, you did the same job for less money before? Hell no you're not, it's about more money in your pocket and most of us work hard to make more money. Most of us want more money, period. Most of us would change jobs or companies for more money.

Good luck out there and watch out for all those nerfs and buffs that bad people at game companies throw down at you.

They've already made their money 10 fold.
They know we will move on to a new game in 6 months, no matter what they do.
They must keep their YouTube streamers happy to keep promoting the game.
They are either unwilling, or unable to fix the glitches.

Once you accept these simple facts, life becomes much easier.
