    Unplayable - Why?!

Spent £30 on this yesterday (PS4). Waited an age for the 10GB download to complete. Then I get on and start playing... Being completely new to the game, I was beginning to wonder if it was a turn-based game as the mob damage took about 2 seconds to register! Needless to say, I'm doing absolutely sh*t because I can't actually play the game properly.

Seriously? I am playing single-player here! WTF is going on?

I am not sure if this has a main thread (I've searched but can't find it, but then I am a noob to this forum!). I think I'm seeing reports of cheating which is why this is happening. If anybody can guide me to a forum that can keep me updated.

I am tempted to ask for a refund on the grounds that this is not fit for purpose. I doubt CEX will honour this, so can I send the receipt to Ubisoft?

Thanks for the suggestion... It sort of helped, but still laggy. I managed to get through the first mission, which might be because it helped, or it might be because I've attempted it 20 times!

    Man, this sucks!

Even if you're in "single player", you're not really in an offline mode. Friends can drop-in/drop-out of co-op, and you can matchmake in various places. You're permanently connected to the game, all the time. There could be a few reasons you're still lagging. I don't want to sound condescending but here are a few -

What is your overall internet speed (upload/download)?
Is anyone in your household streaming video?
Is anyone in your household leeching/seeding torrents?
Are you connected via a LAN cable or wireless?

Don't mess with your ports, this won't do anything unless your NAT is strict (and you can clear that power cycling your router). If you're getting constant lag, like all the time, this is an indication of high traffic between you and the servers. However this could be a bottleneck in your providers equipment, contention in your area or other things out of your (or Ubisofts) control.

It's probably not the game. I'm on Xbox, connected via a LAN cable three feet from my router, over fibre optic ADSL. I lag from time to time.

As you are new to the game, welcome. It's a great game (with a few flaws of course) and these are the official forums. You could also head over to https://communityintelligence-thediv...ctiveknowledge which is the sort of in-character forum and occasionally has some decent information/articles before they hit here.

Maybe when you read the forums and see 10k plus negative posts you should take it to heart and not purchase the software. Your own fault at this point.

also, don't use WiFi, you need to run a cable to your router, the packet delay via WiFi is too hi for games like this (but it won't help with server side issues... )

Once again, thank you. But nope, this game (which I think looks pretty good) is ruined by massive moments of lag. Sometimes I fire but nothing happens, other time, a sudden burst of damage appears a few seconds later on the mob.

I've tried very hard to give Ubisoft a break over the years. AC4 became dreadful. Watchdogs, Trials Fusion, and now this. This quite simply shouldn't be allowed to be put out.
