Right? And then they went to just Body Armor, Helmet, and Visor Color. Felt like such a huge step backwards. I remember being dead set on getting specific pieces to see how well they meshed together. By Guardians I just wanted armor that looked decent and didn't clip.Originally Posted by DraxeI Go to original post

So yeah, I'm pretty much in favor of as much customization as one can get without being a detriment to developing other parts of the game.
I believe they confirmed tattoos were an option but I wonder if that's just for the Viking heroes or if some armor sets in the Knight and Samurai factions show a bit more skin.
Would be funny if the Viking tattoos were in place of armor options. "This tattoo gives you +10 Armor but -10 Speed"
Aesthetic is hughe for me. I like to put effort into the games i play and i want to see rewards for that.
The only reason i did not vote for the "selling point" option is that i regard it as second to the mechanical-aspect. If the game is well balanced and the gameplay itself flawless, i will draw sufficient long-time motivation from just improving my skills and climbing up ladders (which is a reward-system in itself, i guess).
However, customisation is not only a funny visual extra in the case of ForHonor but makes sense concerning the gamedesign: From what we've read and seen, the heroes can fit several roles on the Battlefield, so adaptation to how exactly you want your character to fit in is logical.
