Nope. In one of the E3 interviews, Jason said the stats in multiplayer would give you trade-offs (e.g. increasing attack power decreases attack speed).

*EDIT* Wasn't fast enough, I guess...

It is very important to me. Maybe not a selling point, but it's pretty damn important to me. I much prefer how the Orochi looked in the 2015 gameplays so I'm very hopeful it is in the game.

In a game such as this, for me I'd say it is a selling point. I believe this could be one of the motivators for other players to play more or get better.

In my experience with other games that had any degree of customization, this has almost always turned into a major selling point for a game. Behind these aesthetics will tell a short story of your Avatar, your experience, and what you've accomplished.

Other threads have touched lightly on the topic of Guilds/Clans, and if they're to get any attention -- a major part of their success would be visuals/aesthetics and their ability to "customize" their appearance.

I mean, if I were to play a Viking, I'd want a look that spoke to how seasoned of a player I was. I'd want to be in your head before we even engaged in combat. Appearance is a large part of the head/mind game.

    I like Tf2

It's very important to me, but i think i could live without as long as i liked the characters aesthetic choices themselves

Aesthetics are VERY important to me, to be able to make a character more personal is a big selling point for most players, though some care more then others.
The more the merrier in my opinion !

In every game that gives you the choice to customize the looks of your character, I've wasted at least an hour (minimum) of game time, just to make my character look the way I want.
In short, I'm a big fan of the aesthetic inclusion.

However - I am NOT a fan of aesthetics that change your stats. I was fully pissed off at WB's Batman: Arkham Origins multiplayer aesthetics.
I'm not looking for someone to complain about the mp - I actually loved the mp. I just didn't like having to sacrifice stats in order to make my character look the way I wanted.

Anyway - yay for aesthetics, but not if they screw with my stats.

As pointed out over here, there is a system in place to address this. We just can't give you any details.

I think it is very important for this game to make an effort on both the community and the aesthetic customisation, to add to the longevity of the game. I can imagine playing a game like this for a certain amount of time can become a lot of the same, like for example a moba can, but if you add a lot of community and aesthetic element to it, then it will be a great motivator to get me to continue playing the game for a long time! I want this game to be my main game that i play a lot for a long time, and i need customisation for that.
