I've been reading these forums for a lot longer than I've been a registered user, and there's always been a big haze of negativity surrounding this game. I think the main thing people need to be reminded is Redlynx owes you nothing. They're doing a wonderful job keeping a FREE game updated with content every few months. Keeping you coming back and playing more. They've put out dozens of timed events with interesting ways to interact with their fanbase, added a huge amount of tracks, 3 bikes, tons of paintjobs and lots of outfits which alter your stats to benefit you. And you didn't have to pay them anything. Many of us have tossed them a few bucks here and there, myself included, which helps them stay afloat. But remember this game is built by a team of about 100 people who only want to provide you with a fun and enjoyable experience. I don't know if they realized this game would reach over 7 million people, but that's a lot to keep up with. Can you imagine trying to please 7 million people when you add new experiences to a game? Let's cut them some slack. I guarantee a large majority of the users here have no idea what it takes to create or update video games.

Please stop complaining over missing tracks, or puzzle pieces. Redlynx releases the start and end times of every event on this forum, on facebook, and on their own website. They are not responsible if you slept through the first few puzzle pieces, or had to work. You are not entitled to anything extra if you missed it. Redlynx will include the previous content if you wait long enough.

Hell, I don't have any stallion pieces, any of the halloween 2015 tracks, 2 of the bunker tracks, the donkey bike, the metal track, and tons of outfits. I've never made legends in the bunker, and I genuinely don't care. It's a game. It's not a merit of success, it cannot get you a job, and will only provide you with small amounts of fun while you play it. Please stop complaining, you are not entitled to anything.

That said, bring on the hatemail, and enjoy the game for what it is, a FREE mobile game.

EDIT: I should mention, I am in no way affiliated with Redlynx, Ubisoft or any game comapny/media. I'm just one guy in Illinois who loves this game.

I fully agree with you. Even though I understand where the negativity comes from, it is, like you said, just a game after all.

Hey, welcome to TF forums!

I guarantee a large majority of the users here have no idea what it takes to create or update video games.

I agree with that, but... I bet majority on _these forums_ are IT specialists - PMs, BAs, devs and QAs, so they are quick to detect SW quality defects or possible/desired implementation, new SW features; and it's human to point them out

Well, i have never complained here when it was my fault if i missed something like a track, event or something.
And if it bother you to ear people complaining about these kind of issues i understand
But i look likes you never faced issues coming from the game which mess up with your experience.
And trust me i faced many of those, like when you get your fully upgrade bike downgraded for no reason and RL doesn't want to give a single gem or coin for it.
Like when your gift box stop working for months when other continue to collect but all you gotta to do is wait with no one answering you about your issue.
Like when i've created a thread two months ago about obvious cheaters in the firsts positions of the global leaderboard and all you get is a "the issue has been forwarded" but two months later you see nothing has been done.
And like right now, my game is a mess since two weeks and i can't load a single ghost to improve times, but no one gives an answer on how things are going on. I don't expect them to fix issues in the hour, but maybe some answers sometimes would be fine.
I play this game since the beginning (gave around a hundred bucks) and still loving it or i won't be here answering.
The forum helped me a lot, i've met many great guys and unfortunately also seen a lot of them leaving the game and the forum because of the lack of communication and ability to fix the main and primary problems (like for example a clean LB we ask for 2 years now)
For me it's not normal to see that players like stampede or xitooner had to create special tools for us to understand the LB and our positions.
So yes, it's not cool to see people shouting in here but if we do it's because we love the game and we want to see it working as fine as possible

Yes, the game is a very good game overall, but realize that the purpose of this forum is to discuss the game, and give us a place to vent frustrations, praise the game, and help each other. Nobody "steers" public opinion here; its all freely given. If its had a negative tone lately, its because thats how people feel about what they have been provided by RL lately. Over the last 2 years, I've watched this forum go from the depths of despair to the heights of estasy multiple times.... its just the way it is.

I think the main thing people need to be reminded is Redlynx owes you nothing.

As a business, I truly hope RL doesnt feel that way. As a business, they owe good service to the people who paid money for this game; whether they have provided that is in the eye of the beholder (not to be judged by any of us; ie people are free to praise/complain). As for the players who have paid nothing.... it is RLs chosen business model to cater to those people as well, and do its best to entice those people to pay.

Its naive to twist that around to make it sound like they dont owe us anything. RL is a business. They WANTED all of us here, not of the goodness of their heart, but as a potential means to make money. They ADVERTISED for us to come.... we came here LOOKING for something....and many of us we found something to make us stay.

We stayed because we usually like what we were given.... we complain (and praise) because WE CARE. We care because RL did a pretty good job getting us to care. Thats to their credit, and its the really amazing part that human nature tends to not always voice. (users tend to complain more than praise; just the way the world works)

But all of that means... until the day they close up shop, RL itself decided to "owe us something" and provide a service; they provided these forums as a way for us to tell them how they are doing... good or bad. Sometimes they dont do a good job of providing that service, and so we tell them (lately... thats happened a lot more than usual; not our fault)

It's a game. It's not a merit of success, it cannot get you a job, and will only provide you with small amounts of fun while you play it. Please stop complaining,

All true except the last part. And its always a bit amusing to look back (at myself and others) and see that some of us devoted HOURS/DAYS to a mere game to document it, help others, figure out how scoring works, etc. In the end, those are simply proof that we CARE. To the less casual players (like yourself, at least at this point in time)...it must seem a little crazy to care that much to do such "good" things. But you have to realize its a two-way street to care that much.

The same caring that makes people play the entire game down to the smallest part... post here often... help others, etc....also makes those same people complain about issues. The intent of most of the complaining has a purpose; to try and get the game improved to be still better. Complaining about game features is a form of feedback, and feedback of any kind is good/useful. (even if it doesnt seem like it)


EDIT: I should mention, I too am in no way affiliated with Redlynx, Ubisoft or any game company/media. I'm just one guy who loves this game enough to tell them when its good, and NOT so good. A guy with 30+ years of software (and gaming) experience who understands exactly what they are doing.

Maybe I was just in a grumpy mood this morning. You poked holes in my argument and I understand where you are coming from. However, some of the people on this forum are acting like victims and not consumers. We all want the game to run a little better, and I'm sure RL is doing what they can. But cross-platform on a number of different operating systems is very tough to program, so let's understand the bugs here and there.

But as you said...in all that time you dont have all bunkers tracks, havent done legends ever, apparently missed entire bikes/events. And as you said... you "genuinely dont care". To those who did do all those things you are essentially...a long-term casual player who probably doesnt like the bunker. Thats great; you have a valid opinion/viewpoint, but be aware that those who are more "invested" than you will have things they like/care about enough to..... complain. We are all different.

Actually, thank YOU. Its been a while since I reviewed my own forum actions, and you caused me to look back on it .... and I was pretty cruel to someone last week...I have been pretty grumpy lately myself. We need more positive feedback on these forums, and even if I didnt agree with everything you said, I do agree with the overall praise you gave RL... we dont do that often enough.
