Yeah, pretty frustrating. This weekend i was dropped from silver to bronze because of leaving teammates. I had even a 2vs5 match because 3 left in the first round when they were killed.

The Trueskill system takes into consideration how good the enemy is. The better they are, the more points you get for winning. The inverse is also true. But what this system does not account for is what happens when a teammate leaves the game. If I'm playing a match 4v5, that should be considered a gigantic disadvantage for me and I should lose less rank points for losing playing a man down (4v5). Why doesn't it do this?

Additionally, there should be stronger punishments for leaving a ranked match. And stronger rewards for sticking it through even when playing 4v5. Otherwise there is a snowball effect. Ubi, I'd really like to hear your thoughts on these things.

The problem that could occur is that you will have teams of 5 where one will leave before the game is lost just to give the others a benefit on their rank like it is done now with the ranked leave glitch. Every system that is implemented where one could lose less ranked points than normal will lead to a massiv abuse from people the system is not made for.

This is why I would like to see ranked based off a Win per Hour rate instead of points. Then the losing team could leave ,but it would not make any difference. If you dont win you dont rank up. And loosing doesn't do anything directly to impact a rank down (ie -points)

    I 100% agree with these:

I'm finishing lots of games because I'm ending the match with 2 operators. Why, because the first one was TK and leaved the team. The second one was removed from the team because he did a second TK. The third (that was TK) walk away because he consider that match a gonner.

I also don't know WHO TAUGHT THESE at RANKED matches but a huge number of players are leaving the match because they believe that if they do that the system will glitch and don't account as a lost. This is on going everytime, I don't know if some stupid greed lazy famous youtuber have told them to do that.

Unfortunately the new players of Rainbow Six Siege are brainless and they don't know what is happening: should they win by any matter using dropshots and glitches or should they win using their skills? And please, don't be a dumb telling us that dropshot is a skilled move. That is just a very unbalanced move that UBISOFT is allowing to keep on going in this game.

There are so many great things that could be implemented into this game but UBISOFT have chose to allow the chaos in the gameplay. So instead of UBISOFT been improving the gameplay and the player experience when leveling up, they are always fixing issues

If UBISOFT really want to fix technical issues they would build another network from zero using another IT team simple because the existing one is very bad and almost useless.

Accounting for those things would only make sense:

Which is probably why Ubisoft won't do it. It is quite frustrating that you play down 2 or 3 people, sometimes through no fault of their own as they randomly get kicked for connection going bad at some points, and not only will you lose rank your team loses rank like they have had a full team to play with. This is quite annoying as just yesterday I lost 3 games because our team did not have a full team and I was the one being kicked in one of those. They should have a way to compensate for the loss of players but they probably won't, which is evident when they "patch" the game and end up not fixing much at all or creating more problems.

I see where you are coming from, but there is a difference in the ranked bug/exploit right now, and what I am suggesting.

The current exploit somehow allows YOU to lose less (or zero) points if YOU leave the match. What I am suggesting is that you only lose less points if OTHER people leave your team.

Could this be exploited? Not necessarily. Abusing this would require a friend who constantly leaves the match when it goes bad for you. But there are ways to counter this if Ubisoft is clever:

    1) The amount of points you lose should depend on not only HOW MANY teammates left, but WHEN they left. A teammate that leaves in the first round has a larger impact on the outcome of the match than a player that left in the last 10 seconds of the 9th round. Thus, if your friend decides in round 7 that you are going to lose so he leaves, you still lose maybe 90% of what you would have lost anyway. It's prorated, or weighted, in a sense.

    2) Players that have a repeated history of leaving matches should get BANNED from ranked for X amount of time. Repeat offenders (i.e. after being punished) get banned for longer time periods.

It's really not that hard. Ubisoft just has to think about it more.

You have had other bans from other teamkilling offenses to have a 7 day ban. Stop teamkilling.

As for the hostage, they should probably be left as is. Don't spray bullets near the hostage and be careful like you're supposed to be.

    As Insevin pointed out,

Punishment of these lengths (2 hours, 7 days, etc.) are because of repeat TK offenses. The system goes on a scale of harshness of penalty depending on how many offenses a player has committed previously.

Ubi is there any ways you guys can get these people shut down?

Ubi is there any way you guys can get these cheaters shut down before it even happens, like shutting down the websites?
People go around sharing videos like this and encourage others to cheat so they can get easy wins with no effort. I don't believe this is cool, its not fun to play against and we should not have to deal with this!
