Ok, so I get the Stamina, Firearms, Electronis mods and the mod slots on "wearable gear". (Not to mention the hours going through hundreds of permutations, only to find some really bizarre surprises that make no sense, case in point, I have my G36 as primary, M44 as secondary - overall gear score of 162, if I swap the order of primary secondary, cool I now have an overall gear score of 158, to me that's pretty hard to rationalize but it is what it is...)
Can someone enlighten me on how the heck I leverage a "performance" mod or for that matters a "gear" mod? (Be kind, I'm new to the game, I $uck and am probably older than the entire forum posters all combined, no joke). I can't seem to get any answers in the "official" DIVISION manuals and FAQs.
I get the recalibrating and all that. The performance, gear mod items not so much....
Thanks in advance for any help explaining, I do truly appreciate it.
Cheers,
JAC PeterWor
I don't really use the performance ones. But I think they have different attributes that can boost firearms, stamina, and electronics that unlock certain gun talents. Depends on what kinda build you're going for.Originally Posted by JAC_peterwor Go to original post
Well technically you don't. A Performance mod will most probably NOT have any Primary Attribute (Firearms, Stamina or Electronics) but other attributes that actually may be beneficial depending on what you are looking for, and which sets you are using.Originally Posted by JAC_peterwor Go to original post
One possible use for them, is to keep any Performance Gear Mod with +% Ammo Capacity, and use it with the 2 lone star pieces that you may get eventually.
In any case you are better off using either Firearms or Stamina mods. Personally I prefer to have them with Skill Power, which means I don't need to have anything in my gear with Electronics. But again this will depend on the type of build, and playstyle you are looking for.
As Umarachnea states performance mods are really only useful to most players for throwing into a couple of lonestar pieces to gain more ammo on restock, however for some players who have really worked on perfecting a build which is very hard in this game when you have to take into account rng and recal restrictions they can be useful to fine tune a build to specific skills when the player no longer feels a need for extra stamina, firearms or tronics, good rule of thumb always look out for gear mods with +skillpower as the minor attribute and if you are below the armour cap then a + armour minor attribute can get you to that 75% damage mitigation level
I'll bet I've got you beat. I'm retired.Originally Posted by JAC_peterwor Go to original post
