A player through the looking glass on PC

With the induction and hype with the Division we have seen trailers and heard of its release years ago. I have been pushed back several times as well as had an overhaul of what it was actually going to be. The Game has been out roughly 5 months. We have witnessed various patches and Free content along the way. We have seen Nerf's and buffs and everything in between.

The game is cluttered with Gear that impairs the player experience rather than enhance it. We started with the bar which will be known as 1.1 sets. We have Sentry, Strikes and Tacticians Authority.

    • Sentry was able to proc its marks with any weapon which was fine, people complained that it wasnt a designated MMR set and marks were being applied way to fast. It was changed to just semi auto firearms. MMR, Shotguns, Pistols. The set was still to powerful we now see an added 5 set bonus( this is do to using 4x sentry 2x Strikers)
    • Strikers you can increase overall dmg for being accurate and shooting a target but missing resulted in a 2% decrease from buff pre each shot. this was deemed overpowered and we saw a 5 piece set bonus.( this is do to 4x sentry 2x strikers)
    • Tactician known for its build currently as tanktician coupled with 2x Final Measure. Basic skillpower set up with alot of tankyness and being able to explode players in the dz with sticky. No change has been made to this set.

Will not get into Nomad set it was a huge failure and disappointment.

We then fall into the Category of 1.2 with the Clear Sky update with sets such as LoneStar, Hunters faith, Predators mark, Final Measure, we'll just call these 1.2 sets.
    • Final measure only used for its 2 piece which adds 50% EDR
    • Lonestar which is only used for its 2 piece for extra ammo
    • Predators Mark rarely used and when used its in the DZ to slow down players with bleed
    • Hunters faith I have not seen anyone use this not even the 2 piece.

We now fall onto the paid DLC and 1.3 update sets which obviously you guess it we'll call them 1.3 sets, BLIND, Fire Crest, Reclaimer, Alphabridge, DeadEYE.

    • BLIND is a good concept but is missing its vital part the Rifle that should have been released with it. The only issue with this set is you need to be the one to kill said enemy or you dont get the proc. Great for crowd control and if the flash was instantaneous. should not give npcs a chance to run and hide. only benefit is the 2x piece with extra pulse dmg
    • Firecrest another good concept for a crowd control set up again its lacking with its proc of needing to kill a target most targets also dont stay on fire and its put out rather quickly.
3x peice is really the only good thing from this set with faster reload.
    • Reclaimer this set has another bar raiser for the support build setups. there was a bugged or something was overlooked and you were able to activate all consumables at once which made your squad and those around you gain every bonus. This was nerfed
    • Alphabridge the bar was raised again with this set as the new dps set. people reported hitting up to over 500k dps. we say fail coding yet again which let us with either god tier gloves or super****ty. this was changed with recent patch but instead of rerolling the mainstat and some of the secondary stats the rerolled the gloves as a whole which lead to gloves being rolled with electronics and super shady major attributes. for example mine didnt roll main stats or secondard stats. it rolled CHD, CHC and Assault rifle dmg. after reroll they were changed to Electronics, Pistol dmg. dmg to elites and chd. this is pretty aids considering it took me 2 weeks to find just 1 piece of Alphabridge. Talent stacking also made this build broken as well as talents being used on guns that were not equipped.
    • DeadEYE another bogus marksmen setup which is no better than hunters faith.

We also have the cluster**** of weapons and the revisions they have gone through and the ****tastic named weapons
SMG and MMR more specifically the MA1 were the go to guns for everyone, they out dmged and out preformed any other gun in the game hands down.

The MA1 after a recent patch has been some changes to how it fires, SMG have seen a revision to CHD rather than CHC as well as Certain SMGs seeing a stealth nerf as well as an obvious dmg decrease.

Have have witnessed this with a new gun something that hasnt even been out a month yet. The G36 which was a far superior assault rifle compared to other. it had great stability, range, and dmg. it rolled with a native talent of focused which could be rolled off. this rifle was seen as overpowered in PVP and gained several nerfs. a 15% decrease in dmg. more recoil and a few other negitives. this gun now sits at 10.3k dmg per bullet while my Scar L is at 12.5k dmg per bullet, Exactly how was this gun overpowered?

Now on to something else. We have NPCs that can 1 shot you from great distances with shotguns and Marksmen Rifles. We have NPCs that have Health and Armor that are so high it just makes the whole solo or even group play unbearable. This in my eyes cause alot of issues, 1 being Division Agents are supposed to be the last line of defense when **** hits the fan and should be outfitted with whatever is available to them. Be it firearms, Gadgets and armor to help them survive. How is it that Rikers, looters and Cleaners are on the top of the food chain, they have what seems like unlimited resources for their gear as well as devastating items that seem archaic. I can understand the LMB having update gear as they are a private Military. The AI is overall dumb and they act like they know they can take **** tons of bullets to the face before they even think about flinching. Incursion Mechanics are dumb and repetitive with Falcon lost being the longest and least rewarding yet has the most sought after gear.

On to the Darkzone were we find people still gltiching, still hacking( minimal) and greifers. The Darkzone is known as a " PVP" zone, but we see tons of overpowered NPCS and PVE content, PVP and PVE in a game line this should not exist or coincide with one another. You have overpowered players followed by over powered AI which makes the risk never worth the reward. Darkzone ranks mean nothing as they will not be bringing in 226/268 blueprints. This is where tankiticians reign supreme The " gods" of the darkzone so to speak.

The Undergroud it brings a little bit of a refresher but its lacking so much, no real explorable feature only a random mix matched dungeon setup which gives you caches at each level up. you are either getting a pp-19, g36 or firecrest/blind from these.

These are the things I have observed while playing this game almost 5 months ago and its changes. I dont see change for the better and i dont see the game getting any better.
We have to many ****ty gear sets, to heavily weighted set drops in activities and to many nerfs and not enough balance or real change to combat what is actually lacking in this game.

yadda yadda bla bla bla. Way too much text never read it. I made the mistake of reading the "my opinion is great" threads before. Copy paste from 700 other posts in this forum and others. You are a unique snowflake.

Most of what you will read or see are "My opinion is great" posts. This is merely an observation. Whether you you choose to read or not due to the complexity is entirely up to you.

    I agree completely.

2 Completely new updated sets of gear resulting in 9 new gear sets total and I still am constantly looking for sets to drop from the 1.1 era. This goes for the majority of people I play with. If someone wants anything from 1.2 or 1.3 it's just to play around with.

Most people I know are still running pre 1.3 smg's and gave up on the g36 due to the overloaded nerfs and stability changes. Everyone still looking for 229 M1A's .. yeah this game has no idea what it's doing in regards to balance lol

The most recent patch as of 7/14 increased all weapon damage in the Darkzone, The G36 should have never been nerfed in the first place if this was the case as people were complaining about how OP it was in PvP. SMH

Wish I could say Im not salty, but with 600+ hours invested and really nothing to show for it in terms of what I have on my characters is pretty off putting. I am outfitted pretty much like anyone else. I have 3 toons, all lvl 30. 1 is a tanktician, another is a reclaimer and I have a frankenstiened dps build which consists of 3x firecrest, savage gloves, reckless chest and specialized Backpack. (3500 fireamrs, 3800 stam, around 30k skillpower).
