http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...40-Patch-4-2-2
Currently available on IOS at the least....it says:
> Fixed SEVERAL issues with the Leaderboard:
> First and most important, we’ve squashed some serious bugs with our leaderboards on all the tracks. We noticed that the game
> would crash after accessing the Donkey Leaderboard for certain tracks, players were also prevented from accessing the generic
> leaderboard where the game froze. We’ve fixed these issues with the current patch.
> Also very important, none of you should have lost the points you earned lately on those LB.
> Next time you break a personal best time with the Donkey, the missing points will be also updated.
> Smoothly accessible tracks:
> We observed that various tracks including The Cave, Dust Canyon, The Great Wall etc., were not accessible. These tracks should now be playable smoothly, once again.
They didnt mention Razors Dunes....and LB-wise, their comments were specifically about Donkey? (odd, thats not all that was broken)
... so I restarted game after update and....
- Got pic of my "normal" global LB score..then went to razor Dunes.
- Still wouldnt show anyone on the "normal" track LB.
- Improved my score (already plat, but added .3 secs to it)...
- My personal best time changed as it should...dIdnt get any animation showing my LB score had changed. Still wont show the track LB scores.
- Waiting 10 minutes.. Global LB didnt change.
- Restarted game entirely.
- Global LB score added around 8K to my score for my .3 sec improvement (which means I am still missing the 750K+ from my original run).
- I am SOOOO not impressed with that.
- Still no friggin normal LB on Razor Dunes.
My LB pics to show my score change:
Spoiler: Show
It appears we are still messed up. . . . and whatever does "work"... isnt giving us our past points back their original bug took away.
I guess the "megathread" complaints didnt really sink in....And all this talk about "a bug-fix" realease isnt going to do ANYTHNIG about the LB recalculation thats been needed for 2 years (not really surprised there.... thats never gonna happen)....
Anyone else want to give this a try?
Well.....at least the game notified me an update was available on this non time sensitive update. I'm glad they did that with the time sensitive event we just had too!
/sarcasm
Since i haven´t done a run on Razor Dunes yet i might want to try it, but i´m only willing to risk a tiny bit of points. I have to look at the Scoring thread again, from what remember calculating points for Bronze was alot trickier than for other medals. The update isn´t available for me yet, so for now i´ll wait.Originally Posted by xitooner Go to original post
I just re ran it. My previous was about 40 seconds (intentionally bad for Anba). I just ran it in about 34 to improve the bronze to silver and...
It didn't go to the rankings update as it should when you beat your previous best and the leaderboards still don't seem to load.
Thanks for the confirmation. Wish it was good news.Originally Posted by hanks420 Go to original post![]()
I'm not too concerned about leaderboards so I figured I'd be an ok Guinea pig for the experiment. I've gotten enough good info out of you old timers that I should help out when I can.Originally Posted by xitooner Go to original post
Oh, and by the way... this line in the patch notes made me laugh:
So... "grind heavy" is shorthand for "We started to track/lose pieces before users even logged in, and if uplay went down or users didnt get a chance to try for a piece it was gone without a 2nd chance....and that none of that was stated in the event rules even though it was completely different than any other event RL ever had."Additionally, due to the event being grind heavy, some of our players have been unable to acquire few track pieces. But we can confirm that the individual track pieces that players missed will be made available in the near future. We'll keep you posted!
Glad they cleared that up.![]()
Can someone check my math? Razor Dunes need 40s for silver, 22.5s for plat. If i do a 70s run, exponent will be (40-70)/17.5 = -1.714
Then i used an online calculator, 10 to the power of -1.714 = 0.0193. Multiply that by 250,000 and i get 4,825 points. Did i do this right?
Here´s the formula from xitooner´s post -
MEDAL_RANGE = Silver-Plat
The exponent for the exponential decay function is: (Silver-RiderTime)/MEDAL_RANGE
Math.exp((silverTime-riderTime)/medalRange)*250000
Nah. You want the exponential of (-30/17.5) which is approximately 0.18, then it's 0.18 x 250000 = 45000 points.Originally Posted by ChemicalD Go to original post
Well, exactly 45,023 points when I tried it.
If you want a time on there w/o losing even more significant points, maybe do a longer run or a 1-faulted run?
I can find out what you need for a 1-faulted time perhaps... Try a time of 1 fault, 56.035 seconds...Should give you half a point exactly...
Up to you though, and at this point just for experimental purposes only, I would try to not lose as many points as possible, better to lose half a point rather than 45,000 points...![]()
