Hi,
Would be interested in this.
In the UK, a new player but lifelong Trekkie, have had the fortune to meet many of the cast from various Trek guises at conventions, just love it.
Doing my best to learn it all and take it seriously so happy to play whatever role except Captain - not comfy with that yet
Been doing ST RP online (SL) since about 2011
Your post mentions PS4 specifically - not sure if that's an old thing where crossplay didn't happen but I'm on the PC and I've been playing with PS4 people most of the time on Ubisoft so I assume that's perfectly doable for you?
Hi all,
last post is from December last year... is anyone still playing?
Yes, a contingent of us are still playing. Don’t know how we could get numbers on activity, but I would love to see them. I’ve been doing a bit of searching, finding and linking myself in relation to “who’s playing?” Or “who could be playing.”. Some of what I’ve found, there’s a pretty active facebook group: Star Trek Bridge Crew VR where I’ve found the most active players. They’ve been organizing scheduling play events and the beginnings of competitions as well. I’’ve been working on an effort to link up the different trek communities around the game. I’ve reached out to a number of chapters within Star Fleet International to put the game back to the forefront and pass it around...let them know that there are those of us still playing and start organizing to breathe life into the game. I’ve been @‘ing UbisoftVR and RedStorm on Twitter with direct questions about what they need to see in order to start producing dlc and information at a regular pace. I’ve also joined the PlayStations network community around the game. It’s fairly active people post that they’re playing every few days. When I look at events in the PS community they don’t have any. I’m planning to see about creating one in the PSN group to align with what we’re doing on Facebook.Originally Posted by gpaolo79 Go to original post
My idea being the more trek communities know about the game the more new players we get, we use a central platform to organize and then start playing with a “duty roster”: people all over the globe who know or have a schedule for when they typically play, would be the basis for the schedule, then those of us with dynamic play times are linked into the group and crew up around them.
The Facebook group is starting to do competitions...and with comps come leaderboards and adding new organic life to the game...which basically just gives us something to do.
The ultimate purpose behind getting organized is to reach the devs and produce what’s necessary on our end as a user base for them to produce on their end as developers. Because I’ll be honest, playing this game in VR with other Trek faithfuls, I felt it. I really did. I got to suspend disbelief and in a very true way I was serving aboard a trek ship in the trek verse completing missions with 4 other real people all suspending disbelief in just the same way. Being a fan of the shows...all the shows...all the movies...it was true immersion. I was serving my own missions...and I immediately wanted more.
My profession leads me to be a natural organizer, project planner and manager. So, yes there’s a bunch of passion behind my effort and my profession is impacting the expression of that passion. I truly do believe the trek community, intersecting with the gamer community with VR as the platform...is a recipe for major success on all fronts. imagine if they truly built out the rest of the ship, the universe and experience in VR using bridge crew as the origin and real trek communities as the user base... I’m just sayin, could be great. #WeareStarFleet 🖖🏿
That's great! I have just joined the FB group, let's hope we can meet in game at some point!
I just downloaded this on PS4 last night. If anyone is still playing, I'd love to be crew mates. I'm looking to earn the trophies too,
I have bad anxiety, so I'm not always very chatty, but once I'm settled in, or have a job to do, I'm fine. I'm in the UK and I'm on a variety of times.
PSN is Moonka83, Please say it's about Bridge Crew if you send a friend request.
Hello,
Just joined. Interested in any form of gameplay with Star Trek Bridge Crew. To include roleplay or just general gaming. It is hard to find players so I'm in for any ST-BC team.
This game is great at first. Then, it gets boring due to lack of options and updates. Missions get tiresome and ship selection is very limited. I really hope they update this game with new stuff. It absolutely needs a refresh.
