    Learning from The Division: Fatigue?

In order to prevent GRW from becoming the running simulator that The Division is, because their game 'designers' didn't think you should get fatigued from running across Midtown, let alone have it affect your aiming etc, are the game 'designers' on GRW going to correct this stupid oversight?

i ask because at no point on the gameplay videos do they seem to have learnt the lesson.

    Lmao
I think it's an intrsting complaint ... more than people only talking about downgrades

And we need to see for a confirmation on this aspect because IMO it need it.
A sort of stamina system, I wait to see what will be showed in the future and at E3 the game was'nt in a full "last version". Maybe they disabled this aspect so that journalist are'nt cut in the action ... idk we will see.

I think the sprint/running issue is valid and a great topic.
I like the current run system, but I think its should have a SPRINT option..but
some kind of stamina, so you can't spam it.

There were times I wish I could have sprinted to a cover area, but knew my running option
was to slow and I would have been spotted by the enemy NPCs.

    Maybe a sprint with stamina??

Secondly, it IS a MASSIVE oversight on The Division. It's a specifically tailored cover based system and they have repeatedly said you should play it defensively and tactically. However everyone in the DZ runs EVERYWHERE all the time. If you had fatigue and stamina, then PVP engagements would be far more investing and PVE exploration would be more engaging.

I can almost guarantee it wont be in the game.

I mean, have you even watched that 'demo'? If so what makes you think this type of mechanics actually has a chance to be in a game like this?

Game is 8 months away and it looks like development started last year. And I'm not talking about the graphics. They look good enough. If people want to set themselves up for disappointment by lapping up E3 trailers that's on them.

@ElphabaThropp: Bluefox raised a good point. When the stamina / sprinting everywhere issue was brought up in The Division the developers specifically said that they made a call due to there being no vehicle travel in the game. They didn't want to limit players running into unexplored areas without a safe-house to fast travel to.

Considering it's an Action RPG, I'm OK without it. Having it in a game where you're enemies are giant bullet sponges that spew out numbers when you hit them would feel off to me.

Considering they made this statement prior to the game releasing, it obviously wasn't an oversight. It was a design decision. You're free to have an opinion that you believe they were wrong to not have it, but you can't just say they overlooked it "because it's so obviously bad"...

Well there's already a "sprint" in the game now, I forget the controls but you had to hold something down to get to it. I'd like that maximum run speed to be limited by stamina at least. Maybe make that stamina also effected by if you're carrying two primary weapons or only one... That might be cool.

I definitely don't like how you can sprint everywhere in the game right now without penalty. Some weapon sway and limit on time due to sprinting would be a nice addition IMO.

Well it's left thumb stick down, just click it once to stay in a run mode or hold it down to run and release to stop running.
But that a run, not a sprint. I know..I know, im asking for a lot, but doesn't hurt to ask.
The division has a "Sprint" to cover, I would like something like that..a quick sprint.

As others have stated the infinite sprint in The Division was a conscious design choice - the game is an RPG with very few realistic elements. I do agree though that managing stamina would be a very good mechanic in Wildlands especially considering the game has vehicles for long distance and/or quick traveling.

I want to remind everyone, that this is a safe place for all to share their feedback. Criticizing how someone expresses themselves, or reasons they give for feedback is considered inflammatory and will not be tolerated. Everyone has the right to express how they feel, as long as it is on topic, and respectful.

No one is going to agree with everyone, but let's please keep comments about the game, and not about each other.

IMO just "normal" running should affect stamina as well because what is the point of vehicles and walking (not running, walking) if it doesn't?
I know it won't since this is just an action adventure shooter but still... it should.
