Hard Mode Clear Sky Should be rated GS220 or higher

Average gamer with limited gaming time so I hop on to play when I can. So far, at the end of the today, I have count 20 attempted missions at doing hard Clear Skies and all 20 have failed. I came the closest today with a group made up of GS 213, 225 and 218 and myself at 203. Actually got to see the phase message to eliminate the boss just as I died. I was working at drawing agro for my 3 teammates when they suddenly went down in about 10 ten seconds and I have no clue why as I was on the left side of the circle. It was our first attempt and highest GS bailed on death.

After attempting twenty incursions now playing with randoms, this mission is clearly underrated at GS160. I can handled elite 32 shotgunners in Challenge missions Russian Consulate or Warrengate, yet I generally can't handle most veteran 32 shotgunners in CS. Something is clearly off with CS for the average player. Maybe if you are a daily gamer and can fine tune your gear and weapons and get to play with a constant set of teammates, maybe it can be handled below GS220, but from what I see for the average gamer every time I try CS, this incursion is incorrectly rated and clearly a gateway to block us from getting better gear. The veteran shotgunners are definitely bullet sponges and my concern with the damage nerfs coming on Tuesday for the PS4, there is no way to advance in this game unless you buy Underground. Even then, it only seems caches are good to advance if you are over GS220. I currently have 3 pieces Sentry and 3 Striker for two characters but I'm concerned with the damage nerfs, I might not even be all to handle the Challenge missions after Tuesday.

So how does the average gamer with limited irregular gaming time, advance in this game to get 204 weapons and 240 gear? Certainly not by going into the DZ as all recommendations were for DZ 201+ in zone 5 and 6. Average player can't handle that.

Been trying to hold on to my hopes this game will improve as I bought the season pass, but they are quickly fading with each change Massive makes.

Note for daily players providing suggestions, keep in mind "Limited" "Irregular" play time so suggestions for finding a set of constant teammates isn't feasible. I play with Pugs or Randoms or whatever you want to call them and me also :-) but I am okay with that. This is my only game I have time to play so I do spend time in the forums to keep up on the game.

    Simple answer: You (they) don't.

I'm not being a jerk, just truthful, at this point.

Massive only cares about the smart *** kids on Summer break who can play this game 8+ hours a day and have 50 friends from school. This is who this game is designed for, not working adults with real lives, and who don't define themselves by how hard (or not) the video games they play are.

You're gonna see more and more of them coming to this forum making arrogant remarks about how players like us should "put in some time and effort to get what we want", and how by extension that makes them better than everybody else because they can play 8+ hours a day without any other responsibilities, and... The sad part is Massive has designed the game to cater to these punks.

    It's time to move on...

220, really? Sorry, but if you have communication with the people that you are playing with, then it shouldn't be a problem. I cleared it for the first time this morning with a friend, and a couple of his buddies, and when we communicated, we got it done pretty quick. I would say maybe more like 190 at the most, but compared to FL, clear sky was a breeze for my first time going through it. The gear I got sucked, but the weapons I can work with so it wasn't a total loss.

What's funny is that those are the same kids that complain because there isn't anything to do in the game because they have burned through everything in the first 10 hours that it was available.

220 for hard mode? buddy, come on.. a group of 190s could clear hard mode. if people in the 200+ range are failing, it's an issue with them being bad, or having too low toughness(or both)

I also think that the recommended GS on Clear Sky is very misleading. Recommended GS for Lexington at Heroic is 200, IIRC, and that is EXTREMELY more easy to to than Clear Sky in Hardcode in my opinion. I think I was around 205 GS when I finished the CS the first time, and I think that it was on second try or something like that. At that time, my stats was something like 150/240/15, and I died, needing to be revived by team mates, several times per try. It was all about finding a good team (by match making), and about strategy. To draw aggro to one side and picking up the fuse on the other side and vice versa. And, to focus on killing the Boss FIRST, after that, instead of all other AI. I am at GS 255 now, which is a ridiculous figure in itself, since my stats are only 270/440/18. But now, with 75% armor mitigation, doing CS in Hard is pretty easy with a good team. Sometimes I end up with a bunch of people at around or less than 200GS and then I spend most of my time running around and reviving them ;-)

So, yeah, I think that recommended GS of 160 at CS is WAY to low, at least in comparison to other missions. I am sure it would be possible to beat it at GS 160 with a really solid time, good communication etc. but that is NOT that way it happens when using matchmaking. 95% don't use mic. and ironing out the strategy via the chat is really time consuming. Most of the time people are just running around shooting AI for them selves, not thinking of teamwork at all. At least what I have experienced.

As long as you have about 160dpe, 200k toughness (100k health)and around 15-20k electronics you should be fine, don't really worry about the gear score it means little in this game. You should easily be able to do the hard mode hvt missions (weekly) with a group and that will always net you 204 weapons and 240 gear so you can level up and get better gear, CS is difficult but if you have a good team running first aided pulse with survivor link you all should be good, just my opinion, i know 100 different people will have 100 different opinions but it works for me and the guys I usually play with...

To beat cs hard you need that one player who takes the initiative to hurry and grab fuses before it gets too hectic. I find myself being that guy almost every time

I've noticed groups that struggle always just sit back most of the time by the shack just trying to fight off endless waves

It doesn't matter the gear score people just need to do the objective but nobody ever wants to. 200 is more than strong enough to do it
