Underground Leveling - Everything you need to know (lots of data)

This is a really extensive guide on Ranking up the Underground.

    http://divisiontips.com/guides/Under...dLeveling.html

Just a few of the key points
    • playing solo is almost as efficient as playing with multiple party members
    • save up your caches because they do depend on gear score (break point around 220?)
    • leveling is exponential so be prepared for a long haul (Cache shortage incoming)
    • only do Normal mode operations with no directives (most efficient)
    • and much more

This is gold. Thanks. Is loot from the cache based on your gear score when it is picked up or when it is open?

    good guide
but many data to be verified ... the fact that you should save up the cache ... if those caches are like the sealed from DZ the level of the chest is chosen when the chest itself is created ... but again is just a theory ... i would like more intel on that

good tips, I'd still rather play in hard mode with directives, more enjoyable that way.

    Same.

If you want to speed run these things and level up in a day... Be my guest.

That's not the point of these games.

Also, they finally gave us a semi-alternative to the DZ because if you combine these with HVT / HRTs... You can get things without going into the Gank Zone even if it takes longer... Which, for a solo player doesn't matter because that's the point; Solo players play at their own pace by themselves. You have to consider what exactly are you grinding for? To collect sets? To do Incursions? This is what will determine how fast (or not) players choose to level, IMO.

Thare should be a option to fight level 33 mobs as well . 32's are way to easy for me , and 34's are 100 % based around group play , making them slow and risky for me a solo player .

Im running on hard mode with 3 directivs ATM ( i don't find they slow me down much at all ) it's just to easy , but chalanging is to risky for a solo guy

Everyone has different goals when they game. Some people want to gear up quickly so they can play in the Dark Zone without getting destroyed, or gear up fast so they can start trying the challenge mode and heroic mode content. Some people just have limited play time and need to be very efficient to get the most out of their play time.

I don't think I could play underground on normal for 71 hours. Just no way...

I think time with the train, setting up a new mission, ect should be incorporated into your calculation... Sure, it can take you 4.5 minutes to clear the mission, but what about the time for riding the train back n forth, setting up the mission, ect...

Don't save caches. Lol. At 228 I got a 229 pp-19 first shot with god roll. Then a 229 g36 c. Best bet is to play with friends and alternate hosts to use each other's intel.

Or just go into the DZ and get the best gear in the game still. Or run Falcon Lost Heroic like I have to get the ballet 268 Tactician, Striker, Sentry gear.

Once you set a mission, you can just go back to the table and hit F to replay with the same settings as the previous mission. Train ride, hold F to skip.
You are talking about seconds, not minutes.

That said, I mostly run hard mode
