I am rank 16 and mostly have played on hard and with one or two friends.
If you add difficulties that take away mini map, can use only one skill and other skill will be on cooldown with it.
And Third less ammo and when you reload half the clip then the half of the clip will be lost.

You get always 214GS item in the end.

I have got that rank 40 sniper but it's just BS. If my m1a still makes over 44K DMG then whats the point of that SVD if it does 10-12K less DMG ?
On rank 20 you can do 2 phase and there for get more loot and in hope better loot.

I'm not sure what people want. Is this a race to see who reaches invincibility fastest? Is the goal to gear up so high and so fast as to render the game a cakewalk every time they fire up the game? Serious questions. I'd like to understand. Is the goal to become competitive? More proficient? Or an outright god and remove any element of challenge?
Maybe thus is true for some people.

I am not really happy amymore, because of all the small things, that come together.

    Examples:
    - You play a hard (regular) mission but it is not hard anymore - you simply do it for the pcs and other rewards. Challenge modes are not soloable - dead end no. 1.
    - hvt-missions were a nice diversion. The no 3&4 are soloable with hard-mode gear but you still need to know what you are doing. The downside: Very limited loot table (lonestar) and very crappy 182 guns. Dead end no. 2
    - underground - finally good pve content. Hardmodes have lvl 32 enemies but they are properly scaled. And they drop lvl 30 (max. Lvl 31) gear or better, 182 guns and 214 sets - just like hvt but now its firecrest and not lonestar. Dead end no. 3
Bottom line: Harder content is not rewarded and the gear stagnates. Its not about letting the loot rain but the feeling of progression, to get to the next difficulty level. I get the feeling, that I am hitting an invisible wall. In addition, I often can not even finish the operation or hvt, because I get killed by lag - especially in close quarters. Another problem is, that playing solo is harder, because getting downed once, ends the mission and the entire progress is lost.

This cocktail makes it hard to keep me playing - and the content is finally good.

    Loot is severely lacking imo.

Hard awards jack ****, if you played prior to that you were probably already decked out doing incursions on hard with better gear.
If not then do heroic missions which are way easier than both incursions and challenge underground offer 204/240 drops and youll do them anyway if you want phoenixes...

Then directives dont offer anything worthwhile, with 3 on you have 1 extra item of same ilvl...

I find it really ridiculous that best way to get loot is to make an alt and get some UG lvls for caches. Unless ofc you can cheat/exploit your way through heroics.

Three Snowshoes complained a lot before the latest SotG then suddenly changed his tune about complaining. He's best put on ignore.

The Underground expansion as a whole is great. It provides diversified PvE content (to a certain extent... many map areas in the underground are already getting stagnant and overused. I was expecting to see familiar zones once every 5 or 10 missions as happens in games such as XCOM2 but literally every op there's at least one area that is the exact same from the previous one (and no I'm not talking about the end "chest + train" room lol)).

That said, where it fell reeaaaallly flat was... as expected... the loot.

    - Most people currently running and farming challenging ops are exactly those that were already decked in mostly 204s and 240s with some 214s here and there; Yet it is exactly there where we receive yet more 204s and relatives.

Now this is the point where you'd say: Well then it probably means you are ready for heroics and you only need to unlock it right?

Well that's the catch... currently Challenging Mode is ridiculously hard in the UG (the amount of skill, gear synergy and knowledge of the game and mob mechanics you must have to complete it is off the roof and this is further amplified when playing with pugs). Directives make sure you have an even harder time, and for what? More 204s and 240s? yea because that's totally what I need to be able to head out into Heroics without the fear of dropping in 1 bullet and spending 500 bullets to kill an enemy.

As it stands, with my tacticians build at 350k toughness + maxed smartcover I get dropped in 4 to 5 bullets and 1 (or 2 if lucky) from shotgunners (as usual) in Challenging; I can barelly even pop out of cover to shoot if anything is looking at me... and God save me if they catch me without my smartcover buff.
So if mobs on challenging are this ridiculous even against a player in maxed smartcover then what do you think an Heroic would do? I imagine 1-man-army heavies soloing an entire 4man group in smartcover with just a pistol at 100meters range.

Not even Heroic missions give out 229s and their gear relatives. Did a Heroic Falcon Lost yesterday with a pretty decent group and once again all I got was a 240 strikers chestpiece... Like What The Hell?!. So if Heroics don't give out 229s and 268s GUARANTEED then where the hell am I going to get them? And if Heroics are already ******edly hard to do with good 240 gear + 204 weapons and smart players then why are challengings still awarding the same 240s and 204s?

...I bet I know the answer to this whole issue though.... the Dark Zone. Should have guessed Massive wouldn't just give up on it entirelly.

PS: I didn't even mention the fact that you won't get your useful Striker/Sentry/Tactis pieces from the underground either... so, again, what's the point of the underground?... Massive?... Anyone?...

I don't think its about getting the best gear fast it's about grinding for days and for some weeks and crafting and saving currency to buy that MOD, BP or Gear just to find that the 220 GS stuff is worse then the 182 GS you already have and all the recalibrating and re-crafting does nothing to make it any better. I think that is the problem. Players want to see some progress and when a piece of gear is 240 GS and a 182 GS is better there's something wrong with the system.

The root of the problem is there are so many useless talents and attributes that are randomly generated that make a piece of gear or weapon inferior.

If they cut out even a half of the worthless ones... Even a minor upgrade would be a true upgrade compared to what we have, now...

You keep using logic and they will ban your account. There's no room for logic in the progression of this game.
