    Gutted,

Are you getting the same error message related to the "Socket Channel"?

    not that i recall.

in the confs.ini file i see these settings:
    remoteHost=
    localHost=
    socksHost=

do i need to fill any of those out? if so do i put my external or internal IP?

i've got port 21000 on both computers open. i've even tried putting the PC with the dedicated server in DmZ mode and still wont connect.

i must have something not setup correctly in the confs.ini file. because i've got a TS server running on that machine and i can connect to it just fine with the my gaming rig.

    Gutted,

    Lack of documentation is legendary.......

I have no clue as to what should be put into those fields.

    got it working.

    ok here's what i did.

1st i disabled the Windows XP firewall (dont really need it with the router).

2nd i made sure port 2100 for UDP & TCP was open on my router, and that it would route it to my server computer.

3rd on my gaming machine i noticed in IL2setup in the network section it had a couple of different IP's. so i went into my network connection's and disabled all of my connections EXCEPT my normal LAN connection (i have cable).

tried connecting after... and voila it worked!

i left those 'host' settings empty in my config file btw.

You have IP addresses in your il2setup, Network tab? All I have is Skin Download and Port setting?

    Hola,

Problem solved, install il2ServerGUI and it corrected the RemoteIP entry that was blank (missing actually).

    Ran locally & with HyperLobby.
