    The game won't start

    Hi everyone,

    I hope someone can help because I'm out of ideas.

    I have the Steam + Uplay version of FC4. I purchased it today, I haven't even played a minute, because when I start the game, it gives me a black screen. It's not even in fullscreen, just a screen sized window. After that, nothing happens. I tried to wait for a couple of minutes, hoping the game would eventually load, but it didn't help. The task manager says, the it runs, and nothing indicates that the game would have crashed. I spent the last 2 hours browsing ubisoft and geforce forums, but i was left helpless.

    My PC meets the minimum reqs, I don't use Nvidia Shadowplay (so it's disabled), I don't have any of the listed background apps running. It doesn't matter if I launch the game from Uplay, Steam or from the files as an administrator, it keeps giving me that black window.

    I did not contact the support, I was hoping I can reach them here, or someone smarter than me can say something helpful.

    I really want to enjoy this game but right now, it's just a waste of money and time. And i'm starting to get a bit angry.

    make sure you have a quad core CPU DUAL CORES are not supported

    the game will not launch on a dual core CPU or a DX 10 graphics card or several GT series low end Nvidia cards

    The CPU must be it. Thanks, at least now I know what causes the problem.

    yep sorry man if you have a dual core CPU ..no the game will not work

    even an X box 1 as well as the PS4 have 2 quad cores
    you should have read the minimum system requirements when you bought the game

    Minimum supported Intel CPU is a QUAD CORE
