I saw that the 2 randoms were using flash sticky for cc and both using a heal: one overheal, one booster. So i used shock turret on the earlier waves, with pulse the whole time. Switched shock turret out for status immunity when the stun drones came out with the shotgunners (wave 8), then switched to overheal when agents were out. Switching out my talents for aoe shock/reduced cooldowns when healing teamates respectively.
My budy just used ammo cache SS and overheal the whole time.
We never once used survivor while one was already in use either. There is no comms needed if the players are intuitive and know what they are doing. No mic =/= **** player.
I would also argue CS is much easier to do without comms considering everything spawns in front of you for the most part, not in 360 degrees like in FL. Lot more room to kite and LOS.
Plus there any many posts saying any CM incursions are impossible to PUG with mm. Especially with no mics. That's just an excuse.![]()
My point is just that this game is not different than any other games, in the sense of the types of people you get through matchmaking.
Also that non-mic use isn't as signifcant of a gimp as it is in a lot of other games that are very successful. So mm without mics isn't a new issue. That's all.
You gets players that range the gambit from aids players to good players. Aids players benefit more from communication (and very well might need it more for success compared to players closer to the good range) as in any game with mic comms.
I think some of you might me misinterpreting what I'm saying. It's not that it's impossible to complete these missions without a mic, or about barking out orders to people who don't need it . It's about keeping your teammates aware of what you may be doing, help you might need, or calling out danger they may not be aware of. These calls aren't always necessary, but it only takes 1 time in these modes to cause a wipe, forcing the entire team to start over. This applies more so in the UG, as rooms and spawn locations are randomized (although having run these a bit I am noticing certain patterns).
Without a mic you're potentially wasting my time and the time of your teammates by not having/using a mic.
