Now, to the OP, taking your problem seriously, you need a more positive and adaptable approach. The game does indeed have content that almost cannot be handled without communication. So simply try to find a solution for that.
There are several gaming communities, or simple groups of players that use either Discord or Teamspeak, that you can join, and some of them function very well. I'm a grumpy old dude and I like to play alone, so socializing ain't exactly my strong point. However, I have managed to find a couple of groups where I can go and basically it takes me maximum 15-20 min (usually less) to find a team for the hardest content of the game. You don't need to go have beers or mingle with those guys. You just communicate and do the game content you all want. You'll notice however that you will actually get friendly with those people over time and it will be a pleasure to team up with them even for content where you don't actually need an organized team.
So...try the "Looking For Group" section of this forum, or simply ask people you randomly group up with if they are part of such a group. People are more friendly than they seem. Indeed you will find kids sometimes, you will get stuck behind a language barrier sometimes, but you will also find good people.
To those complaining about PUGs with no mics and always failing and have never completed...ever think you are part of the problem? Your lack of skill, or gear?
I've only been back in the game since launch for 2 weeks. I'm gs215 on 2 toons and I've completed both Incursions with multiple random PUG groups and have never failed and I don't use a mic and most of the players I've been with don't use a mic.
How would you even know what build without some sort of communication? On a PC you can group chat, but not on an XB1 or PS4; you have to use msg beforehand.Originally Posted by Vice_BlaZeD Go to original post
And yes, you got lucky, and you were doing Falcon Lost, which has been around long enough you're bound to get "lucky" a log more often. It also doesn't require to be as on point (I haven't failed a FL CM in a month). CS is a little different.
Then they should be doing it with friends where it's understood or doing something else that doesn't necessitate communications until a time they can talk, rather than wasting other peoples' time doing matchmaking and setting the other members of the group up for failure. It's not about the individual, it's about the group.Originally Posted by Titannium_ Go to original post
Of course it's up to you if you don't mind a group that doesn't talk and fails... but they'll be immediately booted out of mine.
Voice takes about 128 kbps. If your connection cannot handle that, then you will induce lag which affects your team. Stick to something you can solo, play with firends who don't mind dealing with that, or get a better connection. It's rude and selfish to force it on other players without prior consent.Originally Posted by MrSirSid Go to original post
Why would I need that when it's built into the game?Originally Posted by Cherokeedog Go to original post
Nope. GS 228 and I've completed it multiple times.Originally Posted by Krovven Go to original post
And I sincerely doubt you did it with Clear Skies on Challenge Mode.
I play without a mic and I do just fine. Falcon Lost is my specialty. Pugs with mics always yell at me when I just bomb rush down there to kill room right after the explosion - take my position at the right upper level, rocking high skill/toughness build with smart cover and tactical pulse. These mic boys scream at me the whole time. Yelling me to be a teamplayer and come and camp at the trench.
People need to learn to play first. Mic don't do you any good when you're down there camping like a girl while I take care of everything up there where I'm safe on my smart cover. It would be a lot easier though if players would realize that the upper right corner is THE SAFEST PLACE on falcon - if you just rock smart covers. Mortars are easy to dodge and there's a few sweet spots up there where they never strike.
For all the "but some people don't want to talk", that's fine I don't care of they talk but they damn sure need to be able to hear and respond to changes and I need to know they can do that.
Had to many group go to hell because of no communication so if you don't want to use a mic that's your call but don't expect me to put up with it. No Mic = Das Boot.
Sounds to me like you pretty much solo it. Why even bother with the idiots with the mic who don't know how to play?Originally Posted by U4G-X82Jaeger Go to original post
I have a mic and rarely use it. Mics don't make people better in this game, if you have a good build and know the strategy you should have no problem.
FL- run to the middle and kill enemies, one person grabs bomb one person follows invade a revive is needed.
CS- everyone stay close to the fuse carrier and provide him with heals and then group up when the boss enters.
These aren't raids, they are pretty simplistic. If you're failing it's because your teammates aren't built up enough or they don't know the strategies. And if they don't know them by now, they aren't going to take advise.
