I as non-English speaker am more comfortable communicating through text. Shame I can't do that on PS4, though I hear on PC you can type message/chat in group just like on any other MMORPG, no?

Just did CM FL for the first time. My first attempt too. Took about 45minutes with 2 randoms from MM with no mic communication.

Build synergy is more important.

Ya ya "you got lucky" but still..if my first attempt at FL can be successful with 2 randoms without mics...mics aren't that necessary. Yes it's easier but just like MM in ANY game, the player experiences will vary drastically.

You get people with no mics in games where mics are way more crucial to successful outcomes. They cannot dictate MM based on mic use...let's be real.

P.S. some gamers are anti-social and don't want to talk to strangers even if they have mics

Or they could be in a party with friends not feeling it necessary to.

This game's too easy for some to even give a **** about micing up, that's a factor too.

yes we can chat via message box using the command switch /g or /group followed by message example ( /g Hello Team ) after switching with /g you will be in the group chat until you switch back manually or the group disbands.

there are people that dont like to speak on microphone for different reasons:

1) they cant speak english
2) they can speak english, but dont like to talk to 13 yrs old within every 2nd game session
3) they dont like to hear the chinese cooking nudles in the background while his wife screaming to stop playing dat shi*.
4) they dont like to speak to any stranger
5) they have families and dont like to talk to someone on the microphone while his family is around.
6) they dont like mics
7) they have someone else in the room also, and this will disturb him

so pls stop that ********* microphone shi*storm

But even if they don't have a mic I will ask them to do jumping jacks if they can hear me and as long as they start jumping I know they can hear me. .

Funny thing is I had no clue how to do the emotes (didn't know you had to set them to a key) until just two days ago. They are now set up on my keypad for the numbers we don't use. SO I would of been the guy screaming in the mic, "I DON'T WANT TO DO THEM."

All the players who don't have mic are piece of garbage seriously the year is 2016 and people can't buy one set of mic go play minecraft ore something seriously is it too hard to spend 10+ Euros for good mic i bought my mic back in 2002 for Battlefield 1942 and it was worth it

Some players who live in rural areas have poor bandwidth connections / Low cap on data usage . They can play the game fine but using voice coms sometimes pushes thare internet connection past what it can hanndel. Not evrey one has accsses to high speed internet. Removing voice coms for these players is a easy fix for a problem.


I personaly have a very nice computer / sound system set up but dew to living on the side of a mointain i sometimes have to disabel voice coms .

Communication is definitely key to success, always has been in online mps! Makes no sense to me that players wouldn't mic up to make the experience easier! Also it's a good way to make some new friends!
