Theyre nerfing the hell out of my 3 pc striker/sentry smg build! Making the 5th talents on the sets and dropping the base damage on my AUG is pretty bummy guys. What happened to no nerfs? How about you make the other gear sets useful if you want them to be used, instead of ruining these 2 and making us settle for something else? The 4 piece gear set sucks for both sets so i wont be wasting 5 gear slots on 1 gear set unless you make the 5th slot really useful. Pretty lame to hear so many parts of my build will be nerfed. I just hope its not a build ruiner.
Perhaps they were just too strong and they actually want the other sets to be crap (like a lot of the weapon talents) to extend the grind... 5 new sets is what? 13 sets now.. so 13 x 6 pieces =78 different bits of gear (of course only at the highest tier...sounds like there will be 4 tiers of teals now) means a lot of grinding to get the ones you really want (the good ones). That means more time playing and that means more fun right? Right?
the only ones who will have benefit from this are those who lower their GS to get into lower DZOriginally Posted by s140183 Go to original post
there with your old crit build you will probably outburst anyone ... but since in every normal aspect of the game we will have 229 weapos my guess is that your 204 crit won't be better than any 229 crit dmg (with apropriate build that cap crit chance)
First of all, you should have known better than to base your build around one weapon type, especially one that's so obviously OP. The second I saw that smgs had such a huge crit chance bonus I knew that it was going to be changed at some point.
Second, 4 piece sentry/striker bonus sucks? What the hell are you smoking?
Lastly, a 5 piece sentry or striker set will still offer more damage bonuses than any other 4/2 set you can think of. Hell, even the 3 striker, 2 sentry, and savage gloves will still give you a crap ton of dps. Think about that for a second. Even after they are changed (hesitant to call it a nerf since you can still get them to their full effect) these sets will still offer the most damage.
The dissapointment for all of us, is not having to adapt. The gun fights can already last 15 minutes, unless of course its a group of 4 people griefing the solo agent. To be honest, I run solo, and if i can kill quick, that helps my chances more for survival than a prolonged stale mate. In a prolonged stale mate, if i can't drop one or two agents to even the fight, eventually I will get out lasted. As they have 4 overheals to work with, and I will eventually use my medkits.Originally Posted by Three Snowshoes Go to original post
The only adapting the community will be doing is adapting to a new suitable game. We are already anticipating the first season pass update, and they have nerfed Sentry's twice now, and striker now for a second time as well. After they promised NO NERFS.
Unlike other MMO's, The division doesn't have to upkeep Monthly subscribers. Only initial sales are really important. They also promised and swore NO NERFS.
The AUG and VECTOR nerf is a complete joke, They have the smallest clip capacity, and the slowest rate of fire. With this being the case, the damage is higher. I don't feel the AUG and Vector is overpowered. I have blue prints for both, and I have never seen blue prints for a 204 mp5, mp7, or the two smgs. Also I just havent seen a good mp7 drop in the dz. And for the record i farm the dz alot. Particularly DZ06. I have never seen a mp5 drop yet in dz06. I farm for a couple hours everyday.
The NPC's got harder, then we get nerfed in return. So in summary there is nothing to look forward to this DLC. Weapons go to 229. So now your 229 AUG can be almost as good as your 204 AUG used to be. You can now roll 1 weapon talent, so you will be happy to know you can roll for deadly on your 1 bad talent to make up for the loss of crit damage from striker. or brutal to make up for missing dmg from sentry.
This game is a joke. You don't make sets more viable by nerfing the only viable set in the game. You guys came out of the gate strong. But nerfing good sets, and good guns, when nothing good is being released to make up for it, is definitely not the way.
I'm glad i didnt jump the gun and buy the season pass right away. Also, i'm glad PS4 has to wait for the update. Now i can sit back and watch the updates roll out on PC and Xbox, Then decide if i wanted to buy it. However, ubisoft and massive have shown their true colors here. They promised no nerfs. Even if they retract their actions now. Just the suggestion of it is enough to know, I probably won't be playing for honor. Or ghost recon wildlands. Or any other garbage game they release.
