    I hope the community helps to avoid this strikers/sentrys nerf. Otherwise, I will leave the game for good, they are breaking the 2/2/2, 4/2 or 3/3 gear set mode. its not enough to nerf AUG and Vector, they will mess with two of the best gears the created for the game. They are just giving more power to those noobs with stick bombs sets. Why give weapons new talents or even create new ones if they only care about ruining the game with this kinda of nerf on the gear.

    OMG, we are all playing with the same gear, the changes won't put you at a disadvantage. Part of the fun is building new weapons and new gear sets. These changes just encourage that.

    My gosh, how would you like the developers to satisfy everyone? If they do it your way, then other people are going to be pissed. So live with the changes or stop playing.

    Ya why bother put an actual usable new gear set into the game that might be a "counter" for the striker/sentry/tac set. Lets just make useless sets and nerf the best sets in the game. It makes no sense. Every time I have ever felt like I was getting stronger in the game Massive has patched it and put me back to LvL 30. Never in any MMO I have ever played did I get less powerful in my journeys unless the LvL cap was raised.

    Have fun trying to kill a tac set tank now with less crit chance and less damage on your gear set up. Maybe they will nerf that build in 1.4...........................

    As I stated maybe if they made new sets to counter the popular sets instead of creating goofy unusable sets. I don't get how you find it fun to grind for 240 gear only to grind the exact same gear set again but its going to 268 and from the exact same instance except on a harder difficulty. It is still the exact same. Your going to need the 268 gear to get to where you are right now pre nerf. It is illogical.

    People complaining before they have even played it. How would you like to make a set so it offsets striker/sentry? How do you become less powerful, if everyone is less powerful?

    This is how everyone was complaining about incendiaries becoming op before all the patch notes were released. What happened?, they nerfed incendiaries. Wow, so all that complaining for nothing. Plus it's not like we can't all use incendiaries, those must be reserved for special players.

    Aug/Vector nerf.
    10% damage nerf is not too bad for PvP initially because almost every player is getting affected by it. However everyone lucky enough to have a god rolled mp5/7 is going to laugh all the way to the bank. Personally I have a 204 Aug with brutal/deadly 211k dps and a SMG-9 brutal/deadly 227k dps. (I use the Aug). The biggest problem here lies withing launching Heroic mode and possibly lvl35 NPCs we are losing out on DPS especially in combination with the striker/sentry nerf.

    Striker/Sentry nerf.
    This is the big gutpunch of the patch. Alot of players put down alot of time gearing up for this and it gets put in the trashbin. The problems with this nerf can be divided into 2 separate sections, PvP and PvE / weapon synergy.

    1. PvP - There are only 2 builds that are viable both in a few combinations. DPS or Tanktician. Tanktician is currently the better option for the majority because it introduces less risk and requires less skill(because noobtubeLOLFTW).

    Tanktician is currently a variation of: 4 PM 2 FM; 4 Sentry 2 FM; 4 Tactician 2 FM. Stats variate but in general ~130/500/40 50+ EDR. These guys are extremely hard to take down even with multiple DPS builds in a squad. They rollarollaround ninjadipduckdive and run endless overheals and stickybomb chains.

    DPS(or some call it balanced) a variation of 3-2-1 Striker; Sentry; Reckless/Vigorous/Savage or 4/2 Stiker; Sentry. You can tear NPCs a new one and take down players with sub 350k Toughness relatively easy. However a rollatumbling ninja tanktician usually needs to be caught in a shockturret to be killed in anything less than 10 minutes of focused fire. Stat ranges variate but in general around 220/390/20.

    The problem here is denying the DPS build the benefit of both striker/sentry makes their DPS drop below 200k DPS which essentially makes tankticians unkillable and only give small benefits in PvE situations. So anything than tanktician is for all intents and purposes dead. All hail our tanktonktian overlords.

    Personally I have both setups and vastly prefer trying to kill people with my gun in fast paced gameplay than roll around in triages to wait for my noobt00b to get of cooldown to just spam it into the faces of other people doing the same thing and just giving up clapping and walking away after 20 minutes of noone dying even once.

    2. PvE - The nerf to strikers/sentry renders the 3-2-1 Savage build that was the logical build to have regardless of having a SMG/AR/LMG as a main weapon useless. The savage gloves was the main addition to keeping our damage up when we lost the CHC on SMGs and it essentialy impacts all weapons since crit is the biggest damage modifier in the game. So all our dps essentially got nerfed to **** at the same time we get the next step of even harder PvE content. The addition of heroic mode and possibly Lvl 35 NPC will be alot harder and more of a timesink than now. Have fun in falcon lost grinding for 268 gear when your beastliest players are putting out a max of 200k DPS and if he wants to go over he's going to get downed in 1 shot by anything. Kapparoni supreme.

    No nerfs only buffs said massive and now they nerf the max ammount of damage we can do by alot. Introduce us to more toughness so we can realisticly still survive PvE content, but for PvP anything else than tanktician will be pure stupidity to run. Lets face it, why would you take the risk to run ~200/400/20 when we can sit comfortably at 140/600/40 and just laugh in the face of everyone and ourself since we are unkillable giant noobt00bslingers in PvP and be just about equally effective in PvE. All hail new meta tanktician or get rekt mate.

    Discuss.
    1. The "No nerfs" was said in relationship to weapon balancing changes. They never promised "no nerfs" to gear sets or particular gear talents.

    2. One of the biggest complaints about this game is that "95% of what we get is garbage" Well 95% of what we get is garbage because 5% of the gear is ridiculously OP, and PvP is unbalanced....so everyone wants the same small number of weapons, armor pieces, and talent combos.

    If you want OTHER gear to become relevant....and there to be a wider variety of viable play styles...then these OP gear items HAVE to be brought back down to earth. There is simply not way around it. If everything's buffed, nothing's buffed.

    3. Look at what gear sets are being added to the game for the DLC....I dont' think the Tanktician build is going to dominate the DZ for much longer. I think players will have enough firepower to bring down Tanks. But there should be another WILD swing towards the nosebleed levels of DPS that we saw under patch 1.1.

    I am pretty sure the No Nerfs statement was for the 1.2 patch, not forever. So that has nothing to do with this patch.

    I think the biggest thing that is killing me is the set nerfs. The only reason why we need these builds in the first place is because of how bullet spongy the enemy is in this game. Honestly, do you have any idea how difficult it is to put together a set that gives you reasonable armor/health without sacrificing damage? How much credits you are going to spend rolling? How can you possible tank our damage potential without even taking a look at how much bullets we have to put into an enemy to kill them. Now we are just going to be going through all our ammo trying to defeat enemies.

    I know it my math tells me it wont be as bad as you think it is but it's still bad. People are going to quit because of this and it's going to be on them. How about we make sure the perk for the 4 piece sets works properly before we talk about forcing people to get 5 piece sets (Final Measure & Nomad i'm looking at you). The main reason why i started running with a 3 striker 3 final measure set in the first place is because the perk you get for the 4 piece is so buggy.

    This is crap man. I try to keep things on the positive when i post here but this is just crap...This is just more carrot on the stick changes - Hey let's reduce the amount of damage they do without reducing the amount of damage the enemy can take thus making the game more difficult for them.

    Just when I thought the Developers' choices could get any more idiotic I read the Weapon Balance notes..... Yo morons, dust off a backup of 1.1 load up a server, get a vector and an aug go into the dark zone, get a stopwatch and time melting down mods. NOW BUFF all weapons to match the melt down time of the aug and vector. Bullet sponges are stupid and so are you if you don't understand that simple fact.
