Thanks, Butcher... I did, that was one of the first things I tried. And given it was near 5 gig, I really thought that would fix it. Ive totally uninstalled 4 twice, put the cache back once just to see if it mattered... Not. Might try futzin more with the files in that folder... Still hopeful

Couple of things to try... run Uplay as administrator or do a temporary disable of your virus program, it could be blocking it.

Did em both, I usually run the app in admin. Tried turning the antivirus/firewall off this past weekend with no luck. Strangest thing with this issue. I can always find things on the net related to a problem, someone that has had similar issues.. Nada on user maps not loading. Ive tried any number of key search words.... Seems this problem is not very common

Thanks, buddy... its a Freaking pisser for sure. The dev/techs at Ubi are clueless on this issue, obviously have been for over a year looking at the links you sent. Really a bummer they dont consider it worth their time to sort out the reasons why. As random as it is and given its a cross platform bug, it has to be on their end, some user communication switch error triggered by who knows what ??

Whoa... FFS, I was on that site the other day but didn't click on any of the maps posted... Yep they do the same thing, blinking loading with no content.

OK, got some of the maps to load clicking on them from the http://far-cry.ubisoft.com/fc4/en-gb...nity/maps.aspx site, even got a few to tick as Favorite with a log in. Log in and Go to Far Cry 4 map browser... same spinning search wheel.
