1.3 Patch, DLC player vs NON DLC player, force buy?? | Forums

Because of the state of the game, i, like alot of others have held back from buying the DLC, im well aware if you dont buy the DLC u dont progress in most games, but i need more convincing because of the way this game has been since it all started going pete tong, thats why i posted what i did

Yha it's a forced buy , like a expansion pack just with 1/10th of the content a proper expansion pack has .

If you do not have the season pass i would recomend waiting a week or so to see what the expansion is like . When the reviews come make your call on it .


For us season pass guys who got suckered in we have to just pray it dose not **** things up more .

As someone who purchased the season pass, what we know so far seems a bit lacking to me in terms of paid DLC. They pretty much gave us an incursion and new gear sets for free with the last update. I was expecting something more along the lines of a continuation of the main story instead of some underground but whatevs

from what i understand gs goes up whether you have dlc or not, you just dont get the 4 dlc exclusive sets, which frankly if you don't buy the dlc you should not have access to them anyway, so yes you get the 229 weapons and gear at 268 unless i understood wrong

Those 4 sets are going to completely break the DZ, I feel sorry for anyone who wastes there time in there after 1.3.

Get ready for Reclaimer perma incendiary/ explosive spam, and pulsed insta melts, as people push 500% crit damage on pulsed targets.

I am waiting that week to see is it worth it cause i got burned by ubisoft with my last game with what i bought with season pass.

Nothing is free !!!
You have payed for the game and that includes update's that will fix the game and make new content.
Every game have update in every month and will give new interesting things to everyone.
If you play Free2play games then you get the game for free.

They sold us a beta game and need to give us new things just for the reason they didnt finish the game before they released it.
DLC is only underground and few gear sets and cloths and thats basically it. It's a PVE DLC and not a PVP DLC.
They cant make PVP DLC and they cant make gear for only these people who have the DLC cause it will get more out of balance then.

Crit damage is capped at 100% no matter how much you have of stats to max it out. So if you have 500% crit damage you wasted a lot of states. You apparently have no clue about the new sets if your thinking this is going to be game breaking. Not to mention they are going to be coming out with new DZ brackets for the higher gear set players.



I'm going to bet the only item that won't be able to get for non pass holders is the B.L.I.N.D. set as that seems to be awarded according to your underground levels (much like DZ levels).

after living through the Destiny expansions I would expect that if you dont buy the DLC you will not only be left behind but you will most likely lose a little bit of what you have now. I mean just look at what they did to DZ in 1.2? At least gives you a look at their perspective on change and acceptable degradation of playable content in the name of 'progress'.

this is not true as well. Everyone has the chance to up the gear score. Otherwise Massive would be total idiots, to cut off the non-dlc players, knowing that the numbers are very low already. So if theres a new bracket, everyone will be there. Just without those 4 sets. It all comes down to sets. If they don't turn out to be unbalanced and broken like most of stuff is, then no way DLC buyers will have any advantage over others.
