1.3 Patch, DLC player vs NON DLC player, force buy?? | Forums

OK so its bin a while since ive bin on here but i was wanting to know what happens in regards to the people who didnt get the DLC and dont want to get the DLC but want to carry on playing all aspects of the game, clearly this is gonna be a massive problem for anyone who likes to PVP or for players wanting to do FL and CS, with the new patch and the new higher weapon and armour GS people who didnt get the DLC will just get left behind, this is gonna be madness and will cause people not to be able to compete nomore in a big way that they will feel like they have no choice but to buy the DLC or just stop playing the game altogether, UBI/MASSIVE have done a crap job with this game they have removed the good and brought more and more attention to the bad, even after the game has been out for aslong as it has it still is disasterous, anyway plz drop a comment below to see what you think or to add anything i may of missed regarding the DLC i really hope that they will update the GS accross the whole game and not just the DLC otherwise its just now gonna be a pay to win game and well i am certainly not gonna waste a penny more on this game, no doubt there will be a backlash but UBI/MASSIVE.

Really, What would you expect? 100% parity between those who buy the DLC and those who don't? Game's been out for months, it's fun or not depending on your assessment, and now going forward there's a cashier. Up to you.

from what i understand gs goes up whether you have dlc or not, you just dont get the 4 dlc exclusive sets, which frankly if you don't buy the dlc you should not have access to them anyway, so yes you get the 229 weapons and gear at 268 unless i understood wrong

I think the player base will be separated in the DZ. As mentioned, they should comment on this in the state of the game. OT, I'm pretty excited for Underground.

If I'm not mistaken, there is a free new gear set that everyone will get regardless if you purchase the DLC or not, so those who don't own the DLC will still be able to be at the same gear score level and stats as those with the DLC. Also, I doubt 229 weapons will be exclusive to the Underground. Maybe some weapons, but not the 229 crutch.

Pay for the DLC, get new content and gearsets. Don't pay for it, don't get new stuff. Pretty simple.

Since gear score is probably going up for everything, how are you at a disadvantage unless the DLC gearsets are massively superior to the existing ones.

to be fair unless the DLC includes some DLC only new weapons (like the abomination Future Soldier and the 8 additional weapons released with Arctic Strike) I don't think players who choose not to purchase the DLC is really going to miss out much.

It will only effect the DZ if they don't add a higher GS bracket. FL and the other incursion will be the same. Anyways, if a person does not plan on buying the dlc, they have already quit. They are not going to run the same 2 missions for a year.

Also, 1.3 update does deliver a new gear set to everyone. It is unknown if it will be of higher gear score or not. I don't think they will because it would make the vanilla game play to easy. They love to make us struggle.

Either you are new to LIFE or trolling, because in what game can you NOT buy the DLC and still play the FULL GAME??? NONE....

Yes, if people don't buy the DLC they will be left behind. Same as any other MMO.
